It’s horrible news. Sayuri’s songs are very unique and leave a strong impression with so many animes’ openings and endings. My favorite has to be “Mikazuki”.

I only saw her in two roles: Mrs. Medlock in The Secret Garden, and Professor McGonagal in Harry Potter. I don’t need to see any others to tell you this woman has absolutely conquered any acting role ever given her. Rest In Peace and Power.

Sad to know those actors are going away slowly.
And I would say it’s a miracle that only one of main cast has died (as far as I know at least) during the shooting process. Because those actors were aged already then and the shooting stretched across a decade.
I know that some of partcipants died through this time, but they were mostly episodic actors appeared once or twice

I only knew him from King Kong Lives and The Tommyknockers, and while those are not exactly worthy of Golden Globes (indeed, the Razzies would be embarrassed to go into them), this guy was such a presence that I remember him perhaps most vividly of any character from either one of those. I’m gonna assume he had that same presence in the rest of his work.

Ah that is sad. I recently watched the new Beverly Hills Cop movie, which I found very entertaining, especially because so many of the “old” actors appeared, John Ashton included. It was so nice seeing him together with Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold. RIP
