I’d disagree with that. If the outfit doesn’t provide any benefit beyond immunity to gas, it wouldn’t be that bad. It’s still trespassing anywhere the normal suit would be and it’s not an exterminator outfit so even places where there would otherwise be an exterminator or other gas-mas equipped outfit allowed wouldn’t include this.
Some curiosity, as the WoA anniversary approaches and Year 6 starts.
- The full main mission campaign, as a block/in a row?
- A complete season/individual game campaign, as a block/in a row?
- Sniper Mode?
- A non-celebrET Arcade?
- A 7DS escalation?
- A “regular” escalation?
- Mainly Freelancer and/or roadmap content, ETs, featured contracts, challenges?
- Only anecdotally?
- Don’t play WoA anymore?
The poll is probably missing an option for (non-featured) contracts, as there are a lot of people who make and play them on the forum :x
The only reason I’ve even replayed the main missions and things like escalations is because of Peacock, where I could go through and unlock challenges all over again. With my official account, there’s just not much left for me to do.
Been playing Freelancer consistently since launch and I still absolutely love it!! I know there’s a potential big update to Freelancer being teased, so let’s hope IOI give it the green light ![]()

And let’s hope it’s something worthwhile. (fingers crossed for the option to turn off objectives and add their values to the mission completion total, even though I know it’s a pipe dream)
Other than just grinding for the few items that have been added to Freelancer with the recent Celebrity Elusive Targets, I don’t think I’ve played the mode seriously since I did the Prestige stuff. I don’t really play contracts either, but everything else I return to every now and then.
True.
Here they are:
- Yes, for myself
- Yes, to share with friends/community
- Yes, to submit for FC batches
- No
- Simple
- Thematic
- A puzzle
- Speedrunnable
- Perfectable
- Fun from its targets
- Fun from its objectives
- Challenging from its targets
- Challenging from its objectives/complications
- A play around a gameplay technique
- A play around a certain area of the location
- A play around a script/design from the location
- A variant of the main mission
(Showstopper at Christmas time, Dartmoor Garden Show contract with all 5 targets at once, Sapienza no virus, No evidence Whittleton… my beloved)
(also, no disguise change+disguise objective forcing an undercover start)
- Yes, a featured contract
- Yes, a trending/most played contract
- Yes, from the search function
- Yes, from a code lookup/a community share
- Yes, a favorited contract
- Yes, one of the kill everyone contracts
- Yes, one of my owns
- No
Only reason I haven’t created a contract ever in WoA (or H2 for that matter), is due to the lack of a delete option. The clutter they create is annoying, so I choose to opt out of making them so the no delete option isn’t a concern.
Sad story here
I played Hitman 1 100%
I played Hitman 2 100% and replayed all the 1 Challenges again to 100%
I played Hitman 3 100% on Stadia because no Steam release
Then Steam release, I played Hitman 3 again
But here comes the problem: To this day I have not even finished the campaign, did not even get the basic achievements.
Because we got Freelancer and we got a lot of FOMO content.
So I feel the need to play Celebrety ETs when they come up
And I feel the need to play other seasonal stuff when it comes around
So I do not feel like playing the game anymore.
I don’t think “hey, I really want to play Hitman!”. Instead, I “have to” play every few weeks for a bit of “forced” content, the worst kind of content with no free saving and therefore no experimenting and therefore no Hitman fun.
The live service model actively takes away the fun, makes me play the game less. There never is a few months without Hitman and then I’ll give the campaign another go - no, because there is Hitman every few weeks and so I never get the feeling of wanting to replay it.
Live Service kills games. Not financially, so it will obviously stay and get biger all the time. Easy money for developers. But it actively makes games less fun, takes away the intrisical motivation to play them.
I really want tio finish Hitman 3 but I just can’t, and this is only because of the live content strategy. The day this game is dead, no more content is released, I will finally be motivated to play it again.
EDIT: I know that this might be called a “me-problem” because I could just…. not play for some time? But this is not the point: Of course I could, but if I have to psychiologically plan my video game entertainment shedule, bigger things are broken. I could fight the symptoms, but the cancer is in live service design.
What kind of clutter do you mean? Even though I made a lot of contracts I find it easier to search for a specific one among the ones I made than among the FCs :x
(But yeah an option to delete them would be nice, even though I never save test contracts)
Yay! WoA turns 10 tomorrow! And we’re getting a… stream. And no… content. ![]()
«Reveals» somehow gives me hope that there will be new content:
On the other hand: «Reveals» probably just means a few more CelebrET, re-runs of the same old ET, some reskins and more Featured Contracs.

I can relate to what you describe. I had a similar moment in 2024, when I was still playing all of the Elusive Target reruns whenever they came up. But I realised, that I was playing them because my inner completionist told me to do so and not because I actually wanted to. Eventually I made to decision to not care about those ETs anymore and I have only played the new CelebrETs and some of their reruns since.
I can only tell you, that it was a very liberating decision. I don’t really miss anything and I actually have more time to enjoy the game or the parts of it, that are actually fun.
Can I sign up to get the duck without creating anything?
For a while I started to just use an explosive duck and be on my way after replaying some so many times, but as time passed I started to grow an appreciation for the art of large public explosions while still keeping SASO so I look forward to all reruns once again.
Well it’s sounds like IOI are cooking something up for Freelancer, but we’re just waiting on the green light for the update I think.
Hopefully we’ll hear more from IOI on it soon![]()
Where was this Freelancer update tease posted? I can’t remember unless we’re referring to the co-op multiplayer mode announcement which will most likely feature Freelancer support?
I also completely agree with you and the others - the mode still has so much potential for greatness and further customisation to attract more players to the mode.
