Oh wow, they’re actually doing the Special Assignments, that’s incredible. There’s probably not much of a team there to test them but a few challenges to go along with them would be great.

This basically makes the Celebrity ETs permanent now, since you can replay them, and they will even have challenges it seems, which is lovely, now we can fully explore every avenue in the missions.

Okay several thoughts on this.
I am getting pretty tired of the musicians being chosen as ET’s. I mean, on top of all the other reservations I have about recent Elusive I have detailed not even a few days ago.
And it’s freaking Snoop Dogg. The most overused, memed on musicians. I was never a huge fan of the guy anyway, but I’m just…tired of his one trick pony and him being a weed head.
My genuine on-stream reaction was “go away”, which @Silvereyes can confirm.
I’m also a bit interested in how this ET is gonna be handled, now that it takes places on a DLC map. Is Haven and New York finally being added to base WOA?
Other than that. It’s the same stuff I’ve criticised plenty of times before, and will not repeat myself again here. I have a whole 20 minute diatribe if you wanna know why I dislike these stale roadmaps.

I’d assume if you have the DLC (and during the free period) you’ll have access to the ET Arcade and maybe special assignment as well, but that you’ll still need to have the DLC owned to play the main Haven Island mission, similar to how you get access to New York and Haven Island in freelancer, even if you don’t own the DLC.

Also Snoop Dogg is absolutely worthy of being an ET. Even if you don’t like his music. His personality is perfect for this sort of character. The Herbalist is seriously no better word for it and is hilarious!

Since Special Assignments are being retroactively added and I swear this is the last time I’ll ask about this specific piece of content but for Disruptor Pack owners will they have that as a Special Assignment with this change?

As per the blog post “To play the Elusive Target mission featuring The Herbalist, players need to have access to Haven Island location.”.
I assume the ET is both a promotional tool for the Deluxe Pack as well as the CelebrET DLC.

Spoiling a bit the roadmap and patch notes, but we the plan is to retrospectively add Special Assignments to each CET whenever it returns.

Tbf, the Disruptor is so engrained with The Wizard to the point the ETA is hidden from the live tab that they could just add the disruptor support as part of the wizard support

I love that the Special Assignments are being boosted by this change to CETs.
I would love for this to happen wkth every single ET. Old, new, CETs, every contract.
And while we’re on the topic of Special Assignments. Why don’t you work them into contracts mode?
I would love to make contracts in the Voles’ fortified house in Whittleton Creek! Or the different Time of Days in Illusion of Grandeur and Embrace of The Serpent!!!
