Also @Combatglue
First, good response time on the bugged featured contract access.
Unfortunately.
Elusive Targets career tab is still messed up.
This time with only 2 remaining visible in Year 1. Making 14 of them missing.
And I think some are also missing from other years.
It’s following the pattern of only 100 of them visible.
The same bug existed for the inventory once. The menu has a hard cap on how many can be shown.
yeah, i mean more than 12 hours especially when most of them are hours where people aren’t likely to see it Essentially echoing what @Dribbleondo is saying as I spent that 12 hours notice mostly sleeping and looking after cats, leaving me little time to glance at the socials channel on the Hitman Discord! Not that it was end of the world but it did stop me from testing out a contract idea I had
They’ve removed the Freelancer tile on the main menu on PS5. They’re now pushing the Elusive Target Arcade instead. I guess to drive people to the CelebrET DLC when its not F2P.
I will probably wear this unironically from time to time, unlike the other suit unlocks we get these days. The yellow isn’t overpowering and the pineapple shirt is a nice touch.
Also, it has Rain effects! because the tropical suit was already set up for it, which is good!
Just saw on reddit - apparently impact explosives like the golfball don’t explode anymore when you drop them and when you shoot them too. They have to be thrown to explode now.
I’m getting a lot of bugs (on PlayStation 5), post-update…
First off, I’m shown the “Season of Awakening” roadmap upon booting the game.
Then, when I try to load a save file during a mission, it sometimes takes dozens of seconds for the menu to even appear.
Finally, upon completing the Mendoza mission (I was unlocking the new suit), I was told the game couldn’t connect to the server, and was kicked to offline mode (“Unable to load the requested menu. Please retry the request [that doesn’t work], or contact HITMAN support if the problem persists.”). I can go back to online mode from the main menu, but loading my last save and trying again yields the same result after two more attempts (and the new suit isn’t unlocked despite the challenge being marked as completed).
EDIT: Tried again a bunch of times, with different exits, and after loading earlier save files. No dice. Seems like this really needs fixing. I’m kinda wondering if I’ll manage to get the new suit at all, right now (the challenge being marked as completed on the main menu worries me), and I know I definitely don’t want to attempt an Elusive Target with things as they are right now.
Can we finally just get rid of the Live tab? It’s failed at its purpose of decluttering the menus and it’s only hiding the current ET from us. Taking away the freelancer button is sacrelig, it peeved me off so bad i’ve made a demonstration of what the menu SHOULD look like:
this doesnt require changing the layout or adding new tiles, the way these menus work is they can either have wide tiles (four spaces) slim tiles (two vertical spaces) or small tiles (one space). my suggestion is just to make story and the ET slim tiles and then just make everything else here a slim tile
there would be a tile to take you directly to the Freelancer safehouse and skip the constant menu clicking, there would be one below that that takes you to the arcade tab like there is now it’s just small instead of taking up an entire two verticle spaces. then we can finally have a featured contracts button just in the main menu that makes it easier to just play the newest FCs and the space below that could be a free tab in all honesty. i suggested a live content flickthrough cycling the newest featured contract, the newest ET arcade match, the newest escalation and the newest challenge added and clicking those takes you directly to the respective mission. either that or it’s a free space to do whatever you want. maybe it could be a randomized slot?
then the last two at the edge are the utility spaces of switching VR on and loading a game. the roadmap I think shouldn’t even be a tab, it’s a waste of space imo as in the options in the menu there’s a button which takes you to the patch notes so why not just implement a similar feature for the roadmap that lets you bring it up on any menu that ISNT options?
