I’m starting to wonder if it could be an inconspicuous EMP device. One that won’t be seen and picked up when placed. Maybe a few other tweaks in radius or behaviour toward it.
With the following association:
- VHS, evidence recorders.
- Quarks, sciences!
(imagine if it was an EMP that when seen is automatically brought next to the recorder by the guards 
)
Wouldn’t be surprised if the pack items have some unique properties. It was a criticism to the previous packs, and previous Y4 items unlocks. And IOI worked pretty well on what was told since August, if with the fair pipeline delay.
The Drop did it pretty well with the legal shurikens, and the “red” flash-bang (a bit of literal dud this one tbh).
- Splitter SMG looks to have four barrels. Might be multi-shot. Ragdoll maybe? Maybe it’s a striker SMG.
- Splitter Kukri knife seems to just be a reskin. But I could see it having some poison in the hilt.
