In the previous communication thread, combatglue committed to giving at least 24 hours notice of maintenance going forward. But honestly, I’m not convinced that anything in that thread is still in anyone’s memory at IO. Several blunders that were promised to be fixed going forward have already crept in again.
I usually re-upload these livestreams, especially if they cover upcoming content, behind-the-scenes insights, or similar topics. If they were just simple gameplay streams, I probably wouldn’t re-upload them.
I haven’t been this hyped for Hitman content in a long time. Maybe it’s because I didn’t know the other two celebrities (Vegas and McGregor), or maybe because the elusive targets formula has started to feel a bit stale, and I’d love some new content to play and replay. But Jean-Claude Van Damme? Really a great move. I hope that one day all elusive targets become permanent, so we can play and replay these missions.
Seems like a safe bet that the promise to announce maintenance at least 24 hours beforehand is dead with the Season of The Splitter. It lasted a grand total of once.
Unless this is first patch in H3’s history that doesn’t require it (highly unlikely).
Honestly the patchnotes and maintenance times should be posted three days in advance, not the day before, and then reminders every 36 hours on all socials (Twitter, Discord, Reddit, HMF, etc.)
Quite frustrating that this has once again been a disappointing round of little prior information regarding tomorrow’s content release and its patch. Whenever the patch notes do drop, I will update the thread with the extra roadmap information rest assured!
I have some…less than positive thoughts right now that I need to internalise on this whole situation. I’d rather give a lesson to all rather than just complain again and again.
It is on the sliding scale of irritating, isn’t it? I mean, I understand that Hitman is no longer IOI’s top priority. Completely acceptable, no fault in that. But, the fact that Hitman is what’s financially keeping them afloat while they pursue other projects so that they don’t need to rely on this one game to keep them afloat would suggest that they would at least attend to basic expectations such as timely communications in the meantime in order to avoid sinking. But hey, in today’s world, we don’t have time for rational solutions.
Although some people here may give Samir a bit of grief as the community manager, it’s all to try and improve communication and consistency in where/how/when we get information! Overall he seems like a pretty cool dude and is very charming. (Clemens taught him well! )
I want this off-the-record, uh cough anothergoodlookingcommunitymanager cough excuse me
