Okay, since this thread is pretty much vacant, here is one neat detail: when you start Splitter, you will see one of his guards cleaning up pool of blood.
When you return here after a while, blood will be gone.

That guard too was gone for me along with the blood.
And about the earlobes light from absolution, you can also see it in freelancer in the car scene when 47 is driving to a mission.
