I don’t think, its illegal. I mean, there surely are a lot of Online-Games that died somewhere down the line.
But of course I also think, this game should be playable completely offline in the future so in theory, we could play it 10, 20, 30 years from now.
On the other hand, there is always the possibility to make 12 Remakes/Remasters/Rewhatevers like every other studio seems to do.
Well I think our big drops will come more towards the end of this year where it’s the 25th anniversary of the franchise, so I have a feeling IOI will be cooking something big for this for the Autumn/Fall roadmap
Also, on a personal note, the Autumn/Fall roadmap will bring in the Halloween decorations for the Safehouse!
I’m hoping we see the bug fixes aimed more for Freelancer in the next game update. There’s a couple of nagging bugs that have been outstanding for some time now, so hopefully they get nipped in the bud sometime this year.
100%, there’s many bugs that have been outstanding since the mode launched. Sapienza always having the Master mode layout even when it’s not alerted, NPCs who are meant to be couriers always spawn on New York and Isle of Sgail even when they shouldn’t, the Arrange Meeting objective/challenge not working all the time, suspects getting weirdly frozen (especially in Berlin), etc. Though then again there’s several bugs in other parts of the game too. Saving…
Remember when they got rid of the Perfect Run Prestige Objective cause it was broken in Hardcore and they said it was temporary and would come back when they could find a fix for it?
I personally think the two unlocks that would make the most sense and fit the summer theme of the Roadmap are the Haven Island Swimwear suit and the Water Canister from Freelancer.
I hope we get a way to play and get the disruptor again (making it an original ET since, you know).
Realistically it’s probably gonna be the usual reskins and a new suit, I’d like to have a new gimmick item or a classier suit/tactical one.
Also bugfixes such as fixing some odd NPC behavior, an example would be the revolutionary not repeating his speech if there is an explosive/gasoline near his chair and just sitting down->getting immediately up->drinking (and this is just the first one that came to mind, sick NPCs still sometimes all go vomit into the same spot or randomly change it if there’s a new emetic-ed one).
I think io should add a suit section called “Elusive Target” to the into an inventory category and put all ET target clothes into this section
But since IO only allows players to unlock celebrity ET’s clothes, there won’t be too many suits that meet the requirements
as more and more people stop playing, new useless unlocks and celebrity ETs just aren’t enough to bring people back. i really think freelancer needs a new progression system - hades has a few really good ones they could adopt - because right now there’s not really much difference between your 1st and your 100th run.
the mode has a great foundation, the potential is there, but it really needs to be fleshed out a bit more
Yeah I remember that. Unfortunately it hasn’t seen the light of day yet, but hopefully it returns one day. Also, speaking of Prestige objectives, hopefully the ‘Arrange a Meeting’ gets fixed because I know that’s bugged for some players.
I thought at some point it didnt count because i did get the phone from the actual target and not a suspect as described but no difference when i got a phone that was from a non-target suspect and in the same showdown too.
If there’s anything interesting, or new to the game, I’d be into it. As it stands now, I still only rarely revisit Hitman WOA, I’m behind on my unlocks again (even the VR mode, while cool, is still a thing I need to be in the mood for to put on and set up)
If IOI somehow potentially screws something else up in terms of celebrity deals/arbitrary new game bundles/IP management in other media, I swear I might break into song like this:
siiiigh. For once please give me good Hitman news this year.
