Absolute shit has too much of these low-pitched horror sounds (like in the level Run during the library cutscene with that weird peeping noise (wtf))

Have you guys listened to the same soundtrack I had? Don’t you remember it had Ave Maria? My biggest issue with Contracts’s score is that it’s lacking in variety, so, as far as I remember, there are instances like Traditions of the Trade and Lee Hong Assassination having the same track used whereas their atmpspheres vastly differ from each other.

#58

you remember it wrong. But the Hong Kong Missions share the same Tracks.

I’m tired of Ave Maria and don’t like how some consider it the unofficial theme of the series. It’s hardly an original song — and as a funeral hymn, it only made sense within the context of BM.

Contract’s soundtrack is perfect, and it’s always been the most memorable for me. Not sure how you’ve concluded it lacks variety, as you’ve got over a dozen tracks which successfully set the tone for each mission and do a fine job at immersing you into the seedy underworld of the game. It was Jesper Kyd at his best, and I don’t think his subsequent scores have come anywhere close.

No, I didn’t. It does play. Even comments to this track uploaded on YouTube ask why is it a thing.
