Why beignets? What’s the appeal? I’ve never had one before, but are they comparable to bread, or a pastry or something?

Haha, oh gosh how do I explain this one!
I think it was one of those random times where I couldn’t decide on a username, so I just came up with ‘BeignetThief’ as it’s a homage to where I live.
Yes, beignets are compatible to bread and powdered donuts! They are deep fried pillowy squares with powdered sugar, so I would say they are a cross between the two if that makes sense!
