No, you could treat segments like that as if they were a vacation for him. Sort of like the vacation he has been on since the Mar-a-Lago raid which he has been suspiciously quiet since.
Crazed right-wingers have been targeting Metric for ages, like that poster for example dates from WWI. It used to just be isolationism and paternalism but now the US are simply just rejecting it out of habit.

I did a number on my French 1 textbook. I don’t recall if I got caught or in trouble. The secret was to make it so subtle. Like a group of kids sitting around… (With my “Edits”) they were smoking cigarettes. The kid that sat next to me came across them and was saying out loud in class what they were “doing”. He was convinced it was real. 
I guess old habits…
