I am going to be honest, I have zero clue what you are going for here.
Nancy Pelosi’s husband, at least with the first one. Courtesy of Trump Jr. aka the Cokehead Cenobite.
Ah mocking assault victims, a very Don Junior thing to do.
It was referencing him, but it could also be the other guy… Paul’s “Friend”. Both were in underwear, and there was a hammer involved. But whose hammer was it?
Edit: It was either something that had to be kept on the down-low between them. Or the guy was stalking Nancy (wanting her to use her political sway for things this guy wanted). Either way, I’m pretty sure drugs were involved with Mr. DePape.
I didn’t realize at the time he was said to have had a fractured skull. So I’m gonna put a younger bearded guy up there. Whatever happened, it seems very strange. Police won’t answer questions, and I guarantee we won’t hear from this David guy in the meantime (before the elections). That’s assuming he doesn’t get Epsteined.
Additional references to the 2nd costume:
He came there to kill Nancy because the Republican Party has been vilifying her, calling her evil and/or crazy, for 19 years, and is now at the point where average citizens who express a lot of anger and hate online take their cues from shameless rightwing talking heads and go attempt physical violence against people like Pelosi, because they see themselves as following orders and only they can carry it out. That’s what happened there, nothing more or less, and anything else you’ve heard is not backed by any evidence, and comes from non-credible sources, as the Republicans try to both-sides the situation, as they always do.
While funny in emoji form, it’s overall a poor-taste joke, like putting up a picture of a sheet and a noose.
Uh, yeah, that really was not a great joke to make, Tetra, especially for a joke halloween costume
Much too soon, and much too real given what a political “pundit” actually tweeted, unironically recently.
Ya just don’t (joke about) dressing up as very real, tragic “scary” events. Or very real, evil “scary” people.
Given that underwear/briefs were involved… Then thinking of Hunter Biden, who also has a picture of himself floating around in a pair of underwear and a scarf… The 2 “costumes ideas” were low hanging fruit - I suppose. FWIW: I don’t follow Trump Jr. (I don’t even have an account on Twitter) so the (2 items) must be a perception of what may or may not have happened going around (and yes, I’ve seen a few things about it - all of which didn’t give the full context of the events). If I knew about Mr. Pelosi having been hit in the head I would’ve included this too. Whatever his views/political leanings are - he certainly didn’t deserve to be assaulted!
As for the idea of this DePape guy being influenced by Republican whatever… He’s a nudist, hemp jewelry making member of the Green Party, living in a bus or staying at a hippie commune with BLM signs and a LGBTQ+/Marijuana Leaf emblazoned American flag… Yep. The guy sounds Republican af.
Was. That was him ten years ago. His social media activity since then shows him having gone far right and become a MAGA supporter. Reports talking about that prior stuff as if it’s who he still is is more misleading reporting to try to make it seem like it’s not their fault he did this.
I ate a shawarma today, casually, and I can’t deny that this beutiful creation in the shape of food isn’t perfection
Jesus Christ, companies just have to blame people for doing one thing or another, don’t they? Why is that business not doing so well? People aren’t going outside anymore! Why is this business not doing so well? People keep going outside! Can they for once just speak the truth and just say their business is down because they either made a lousy product, or people just don’t give a shit? Just once.
“Blaming” is a rather disingenuous word choice from VGC, not Sony. The remark about “more people going outdoors” was from an executive explaining the decline in numbers in an earnings call to investors, basically saying that the numbers are normalizing after the lockdown surge. A trend that started well before the PS+ revamp, by the way.
And, as VGC notes in their article, despite the decline in numbers, overall revenue from Sony’s Network services–which includes PS+ and advertising, but not game purchases–increased 10% to an all-time high.
Perhaps, but they don’t have to present it in a way that sounds like a reverse boomer complaint.
“They” being VGC? I agree.
