I think MrOchoa wanting a remastered version of the game is mainly due to it not being available on consoles. Anything beyond that like upscaling is a bonus, hence the original is perfection indeed.

I don’t think Valve will ever truly give up on Half-Life series. They recently did producere Hald-Life Alex after all. If there ever will be Half-Life 3 is another question. I believe they will continue the story from Half-Life 2 Episode 2, might not just call it Half-Life 3.
