The meaning of the sequels is that even a nobody can be a great Jedi saviour until you learn that you have to be Skywalker or a Palpatine.
I think that is quite literally the message of all three trilogies. That is sort of what happens when you assign excessive (and retroactive) relevance to a biologically determinant trail rather than any sort of creed, ethos or even a tangible object.
Fuck the Sith, fuck the Jedi. The next trilogy should be about a smuggler or some shit.
I still want it to be about the Jedi and the force, Rian Johnson had the right idea.
I think that is the real message of the sequels but no human will be ready for this message for a century or more I think.
I donât think so. Even going back to the first film, there was always talk about the Force being strong in particular families; how a Jedi - not just any person, a Jedi - could feel the Force flowing through them, suggesting only certain individuals could become Jedi; Solo and imperial leadership mocking the very idea of the Force, suggesting that it is rarely ever seen and not really felt outside of those sensitive to it, leading those in the majority of the galaxy to believe the Jedi were using tricks and deception when they used the Force. Itâs always been set up to suggest that not everyone or anyone can be a Jedi or Force user, and Johnson trying to make things seem that that isnât the case is inconsistent with the entire series and the logic that runs through it.
Then again, Iâm among the few to realize that the midichlorians were a perfect way to explain the Force and was consistent with what Obi Wan and Yoda said about it in the first trilogy, so if everyone is gonna reject that, might as well go further.
No there is no indication that the first film that the force is stronger in certain families. First in Return of the Jedi, is alluded too the force is strong in the Skywalker family tree and is what George expanded upon in the prequels.
That is not what Johnson is alluding too, but rather that you donât have to be part of a Force family dynasty to be a hero, to be a jedi. Rather that a nobody scvanger from Jakku without any ties to the Skywalker clan or any other big name brand Jedi/Sith, can also be strong in the force. What J.J did in the 9th film as shrink the universe even further. Rey couldnât just be Rey, a strong female force user.
There where plenty strong jedi and sith before Anakin. Iâm in no favour of the thought that everyone can use the force. Some have bigger potential then others and that is also my take away point from all Star Wars films expect Rise of Skywalker.

I remember first playing The Orange Box back in 2007/2008 and never imagined it would be this long for a sequel to Half Life 2. Itâs been that long my mind just refuses to believe it could exist.
