Hell no. No exaggeration, I have spent multiple hours every few months trying to get it to work, and I got nowhere fast. Every time I made progress, something would break it. In no particular order, here’s my grievances:
- Wine kept breaking the game in weird ways that even now I still don’t know why. It requires a build of Wine that isn’t easy to get hold of (an FSR build; Full ScReen Hack), and required Lutris to install.
- VKD3D (the alternative renderer Wine uses to run DX12 games) broke the game, and I only got it running because the latest release of it fixed issues specific to the game. It still needs to be told “hey, even though you’re on AMD, we need to tell the game you’re on an Nvidia GPU” via a command.
- Heroic Games Launcher, the EGS replacement launcher that was basically my only lifeline, was inadequate throughout much of 2021 for unrelated reasons, but is rather good now. However, the one issue that remains is that it requires me to run the game and skipping an update it otherwise wants to do. As I found out months earlier, said update breaks the games’ files otherwise.
It’s too much of a hassle, and the game doesn’t even run that well to boot, even after the shader caching.

I stayed up until 2AM to complete 28 escalations and unlock the Summer Suave and Imperial Classic Suits. Fuck all of them, except the Mills Reverie.
And Han Encasement, I guess.
At least I’ve got the suits. Made save files on Haven Island just for them.
