they killed me after I taken those screenshots
Nothing special, I just felt a little blue today, so I went around with Grey a bit and took this screenshot of him. And I think he looks very pretty here, so I wanted to share it with you
I edited the lightning a bit with Lightroom.
lucasâs character may be as flimsy as plywood but by god are ioi good at creating good designs for regular looking people.
Not really? IOI did a good job at exploring his past, motivations and other character quirks in the trilogy; anything new we learned about him added to his character (and there is a lot of that); anything story relevant from his past is constantly mentioned, and 47 clearly treats him like a long lost brother and vice versa (as was the case in the comics too). Grey feels much more human, and the way he acts standoffish to anyone but 47 is very understandable, and I feel rather sympathetic to his situation.
I donât find his character flimsy at all; itâs probably one of the strongest in the series so far, next to Diana and 47, who also got a lot more characterisation in the trilogy too (the fact both of them speak much more than in past games shows they want you to take notice of their changing behaviour).
I remember him treating his Brothers otherwiseâŚ
47 voluntarily letting lucas inject him with the anti amnesia juice is so out of character its unbelievable that this made it into the game ![]()
Those brothers were out to kill him, Grey is there to save him, thereâs a difference in motivations methinks.
47 takes the serum because Grey made him remember his oath to take down Providence so they could work together; thatâs what the prior cutscene was about. Iâm not sure how itâs out of character for 47 to not try and remember his past, especially since it took a fairly long time for 47 in that cutscene I mentioned to even Believe Grey (It wasnât just âI immediately believe youâ, it was âyou will say anything to stop me from killing youâ and never dropped his gun until he was absolutely sure he knew who Grey was). As soon as Grey gets through to him, he becomes quite a lot more willing to work with him as he now remembers Grey as 6, and the mission he never completed; Take them all down.
Itâs very in-character for 47 to never quit a job; especially one that would mean freedom, and especially one he pledged to complete 20 or so years prior; hence his very firm âI will finish what I startedâ just before he takes it. He has no reason to distrust Grey anymore. A lot more suppressed anger shows through later in Sgail when escorting Edwards, and itâs really interesting seeing 47 emote.
The New Zealand cutscene makes it clear Diana wants to help 47 with his past, and even when Diana herself objects to the serum injection, she doesnât try to stop 47 once heâs made his mind up. That says to me he wants to grow as a person, to be rid of all his shackles.
And as we know, once 47âs mind is made up, he wonât stop until his mission, whatever that may be, is complete.
Thatâs not out of character, thatâs outright character development.
I like the fact that youâve chosen a screenshot of the version of the Asylum from Contracts rather than that other game that we shouldnât ever speak of.
Absol- gets yanked off stage with a cane
I searched for a GIF of the first Cutscene in Contracts where 47 executes 48, but i couldnât find one, so that picture had to do it.
Hasnât the asylum been in 6 different games and referenced in the other 2, which game are you referring to (my betâs on Blood Money)?
Heâs surprised that i used a screenshot from Virgin Contracts instead of the Chad Codename 47.
But jokes on him, i think Contracts is great too!
But when it comes to which deserves a remaster
Codename 47 is the one that needs a Remaster thr most, but i think the original Trilogy deserves it as a whole.
Makes me wonder why the HD Enhanced Trilogy couldnât have been a quartetâŚ
Or why it couldnât have been a trilogy, but with Codename 47 instead of Blood Money⌠
Itâs not like Blood Money is that good anyways.
Plus, it was already on the Xbox 360, so there already was a next-gen version of it. Oh well, itâs more marketable I guess.
