The ICA made a Mass murder of civilians?

In Mission 14 of Absolution “Attack of the Saints”, we can see the soldiers talking about “no witnesses”, and shooting some civilians and the hotel manager.

Already in Mission 16 of Absolution “Operation Sledgehammer”, we can see that the ICA invades the Hope town aggressively using SUVs and helicopters, they blow up a fuel truck to close the street and there are a lot of ICA soldiers on the streets.
We also see a lot of civilians running and screaming at the Hoop Food Festival.

Were all those civilians killed?

I’m not too invested in the lore and really don’t care for it, but I just gotta ask this; Why would a covert murder agency have helicopters and soldiers invading towns?

It’s never made clear if the civilians were executed or not but I’m guessing no. Mission 14 is set in a hotel which appears to be located in some isolated area, so there’s only a handful of people there. Mission 16 is a entire town and would be much more difficult to cover up. But…then again Travis is not know for subtlety. Or intelligence.

I don’t think a lot civilians were killed during Food Festival. I don’t seem to recall any dialogue that stated they had kill orders but then again I dislike the ICA attack sections so much I don’t care enough to listen.

ABSOLUTION never happened. So I don’t think people have to worry about this.

Wow, what was this game about then?

Indeed! It’s one of 47’s fever dreams, a bit like Contracts but much worse. He had too much cheese this time I think.

Betraying the Franchise… huehuehuehue. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also an excuse to show Diana in the shower. :stuck_out_tongue:

Seems I’m the only one on the forum who likes Absolution.
Of course it’s not free of flaws, but in general it’s a good game

Maybe this all game was made only for this scene

It’s not about where you like it or not. It really never happened…

IOI themselves say it was some kind of “Earth 2” Hitman adventure. OK?

Because under Benjamin Travis, the ICA turned into more of a Paramilitary Unit.

He was an idiot and that’s why he’s dead.

It happened whether you like the game/story or not.

Remember this little moment in the introduction of Hitman 2016?

Yes it means Dom Osmond died in both Hitman Timelines.

There is only One Hitman Timeline.

Tell that to IOI who made it official that there’s multiple timelines.

No, they didn’t.

HITMAN: ABSOLUTION is to main Hitman series as
SUPERMAN: RED SON is to main Superman series.

Did? Did you just compare Hitman Absolution to Superman: Red Son?

I have to think if that was a mistake… was RED SON any good? :stuck_out_tongue:

But kidding aside, arguing about ICA activity depicted in ABSOLUTION is kind of like arguing Superman helping the KGB and Soviet Union in RED SON.

It’s just an isolated episode of some spin-off.

Yes Red Son is good! It is one of the best Elseworld tales.

but that’s the point really it’s an “Elseworld” story. The moment Abrak said ABSOLUTION was not in the main timeline, the only real explanation is that it must have happened in another dimension.

“Hitman: Into the Hitman-Verse” :stuck_out_tongue:
