Chat Pile go hard a.f. Definitely deserve all the hype. Hope they tour the UK next year.
Man I don’t care what anyone says, Nickelback’s a good band
Aw man when I said “Think of yourself as more Canadian” I didn’t mean you should turn around and say this.
Finally got some motivation for some art with this on. It’s great.
Listened to the 30th Anniversary Kirby Concert. Some really nice arrangements of iconic songs from the franchise, plus some conversations in between with people related to Kirby’s music or the legacy of the game? I’m not so sure, since I don’t speak japanese…

Sad they’re gonna remove this on the 31st of August though. Nintendo really, really doesn’t want you to listen to Nintendo songs outside their games, even if it’s from a live-recorded performance… I’m sure someone will have downloaded it though.
can’t remember if i’ve posted these, but they’re in my rotation atm:
I liked this post only because I already know of the song from a cover, and I like it.
The cover was from Gerard Way & Ray Toro from The Umbrella Academy
Too bad I can’t play the video though to see the original, it’s restricted in Canada
Funny, I was just watching The Umbrella Academy a few days ago…
Lowly Canadians don’t deserve the good stuff.
And the Bangles version is itself a cover:
(My apologies if this one is also region-locked.)
Ah I was wondering why the title sounded so familiar.
Mad times
not one for some lyrics in black metal due to being a Christian but do love the instrumentals and production of it. this one is from the subgenre of it called war metal:

it takes stuff from death metal and the speed of grindcore bands. also what intrigues me is the showmanship black metal has like death metal for better or for worst.
There’s kinda a new generation of bands trying Black Metal without any of the ceremonial stuff (corpsepaint, cvlt/“evil” presence etc). Deafheaven did that with Sunbather and MOL are probably the best modern black metal band doing new things with the genre if you ask me
tbh i’m a sucker for the crusty shitty quality production stuff of old school bm or any form of metal. i kind of see it has the comfort food of metal. just that garage band diy quality feels really homie and sounds like yer really hanging out with the bros. i’ve kind of always had a dream of being a vocalist for a metal band even though i don’t know how to do some vocals you find in death metal, deathgrind, or goregrind. another reason is i’ve never tried would be how awkward it would look.
