Starting to rewatch Loki in anticipation of Season 2 and MAN I need more soundtracks with theremins (and violins, oooh!)
[Mark Wahlberg] On being scheduled to be on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”
September 13th 1999: a series of nuclear blasts causes the Earth’s Moon to leave Earth’s orbit, and the residents of Moon Base Alpha, to go on a journey across the universe.
One of my favourite TV intros, it is incredibly '70s.
Okay, gosh I’m really enjoying the OST for Loki Season 1. I’d listened to it before, but it’s been a long while and rediscovering it has been great. Episode 2 in particular has great tracks. Natalie Holt uses lots of leitmotifs, and the motifs are really great.
This has the “Sad Loki” theme I love when it pops up
Glorious Purpose - YouTube
This one uses the Loki Green Theme as an epic closer, plus the beat is sick!

This one is also epic and grandiose, but I like how it slows down and ties in the Variant (Sylvie’s) theme

Cannons with another song that brings you to a dream state and is fun and poppy yet sad at the same time.
At some point, I want to make a post highlighting some of the great music of Sonic '06. Sonic '06 is an infamous game but it has a truly impressive and unique soundtrack, a further evolution of the style that we saw in the Adventure games, with the full backing of an orchestra to truly elevate it.
In the meantime though, here’s a cover of 06’s main theme, His World, which I think is really killer.
