I always liked Corey Taylor’s other band better.

One thing I love to see in an artist is versatility (which is a fine line to walk without people crying identity crisis, inconsistency, or sellout). It’s one reason Cat Stevens is my favourite artist, he can create absolute masterpieces in wildly differing styles but they all still sound like his songs.
Poppy is another singer I think has great versatility, especially since her turn to the metal genre. I’ve been a fan of her since the offbeat YouTube videos nearly a decade ago that kicked off her persona-driven career, but I’ve enjoyed her music much more since her departure from “problematic” (to say the least) producer Titanic Sinclair, and now it seems she’s able to do more of what she wants to do, which is great.

Went and saw Nightly at the House of Blues last night. They put on a really fun show.

damn if that isn’t a blast from the past. takes me back

I have another one to share. I think the whole thing is great but especially when the choir is climaxing in the last verse at 3:00 minutes. I’m not religious at all but the arrangement moves me.
