Last Christmas IS a Christmas song just like Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Neither may be the typical take, but they are there lol.
Anyway Spotify sent me my year end stats.
They say my music listening age is 25 which I took to be a compliment. My most listened to song was Grave by Social Order and my most listened to album was Demure by Girly Girl Productions 
. Anyone else care to share?

Nope. As I’ve said ad nauseam, put any other holiday in place of the word Christmas and the song is still the same, because other than saying that it happened during last Christmas, nothing about the song has anything to do with Christmas. Same with Die Hard and swapping it with any holiday that involves businesses being closed.
George Michael just knew Christmas songs are mostly terrible so he wrote one with the least amount of Christmas stuff in it
