“bring back the fucking danger in the music” @Accidental_Kills98 also never got to ask you this but what is your musical tastes and preferences?
Oh I would say it is pretty eclectic as a rule. I usually try to measure what I like by what I avoid and that is usually most live recordings, instrumentals (though this is my least hard-and-fast rule) and generally anything from a band that adds the suffix “-core” to their description (I think punk is the sole exception but that might be because the genre uses “hardcore” as a quantifier than a qualifier.
live recordings as in live shows or as in the band playing together in one take? also hardcore has a pretty wide subgenres i would say. grindcore, metalcore, deathcore, mathcore, goregrind, etc. there are a lot of different variations out there.
Like that.
i got ya. also those things something you avoid or like?
Like I said I try to avoid a lot of the genres you just mentioned. I didn’t even know there was a genre called “goregrind” and if I am being honest it doesn’t sound even remotely like something I would listen to.
basically it’s like death metal lyrics mixed with grindcore quality, instrumentation, and vocals. bands like carcass are a great example of it. later in their discography their album heartwork is more melodic death metal and later on they played death n’ roll. overall i’m curious to what music genres you like a lot of
You are very persistent in this endeavor aren’t you? I guess most forms of rock, the odd for of punk, any sort of pop that existed before the New Millennium. I don’t know what else to tell you other than I cast a wide-ish sort of net.
sorry don’t mean to sound pushy i’m just curious. also i do find myself liking a lot of older pop music before the modern day as well.
nah that is fine man, it is just hard to quantify what I like since it is mostly so general. Plus I am going through some personal stuff and a cold.
ah, sorry to hear man hope you’ll get well soon too.
