Started to listen to Rick Parfitt’s unreleased solo album, Recorded Delivery. A bit of a mixed bag, “Halloween” is the clear standout, which is why it made it onto his post-humourous album Over and Out. I am however fascined by this song, “999”. Like, I just adore how you can probably pinpoint the exact year this was recorded by just listening to it once.
Sounds like it would fit as a soundtrack song to an '80s action movie, has that power chord mixed with a bit of Roland J8 vibe. Blend of Toto, Robert Palmer and Stan Bush lol.
