Also gave a first listen to Hyena and I’m really digging it. It’s still very much the Ultra Heavy Beat, but they do some genre-hopping, mixing in their version of rap, punk, straight rock, reggae and even a bit of country. It’s certainly their freshest sounding album in years.

It’s alright. The incorporation of dub, reggae, etc is very reminiscent of the earlier albums.
However, the songs that don’t use it sound very by the numbers.
I need a few more listens before a final answer.

i absolutely love the world painted blood version of atrocity vendor:
if i had a metal band i would have out of many different album names in my head for one called “what war are you buying?” cause the song name makes me think of that guy from resident evil 4 but a war hungry salesman rather than a weird dude selling ya weapons. and yeah i like it cause it has the line that Kerry King took out for no reason.

Okay. Since there was a poll question asking what music we like… Here are a few of my favorites.
I first fell in love with video game OSTs thanks to my Genesis from back in the day.
Then moved up techno’ish music with the WipeOut games…
Then this led me to the trance genre… or, more importantly, psytrance.
I’m putting this one in last (but certainly not least) since… Stuff made by Skaven 252 is almost like approaching a mystical experience!
There are others I really like too. But I figure that should be enough for one post.
