Surprise switch 2 edition launch for Xenoblade Chronicles X when it first came out there was a leak it had support for 4k 60fps so it’s nice to see it come out now

Also the My Mario collection of toys and stuff Was launched outside of Japan today including Hello, Mario! A free game for mobile and switch that lets you play with Mario’s face like the Mario 64 start screen

Hello, Yoshi! A similar game playing with Yoshi eggs instead of Mario’s face will also probably be coming everywhere else soon enough then

Nintendo being actually tech-savvy in a new Switch 2 Software update!?

There’s actually quite a bit in this new update, but buried near the bottom is this performance update:

Added “Handheld Mode Boost” to Nintendo Switch Software Handling in System.

Handheld Mode Boost will cause compatible Switch software to run as if in TV Mode, so certain functionality may be affected. Please see the on-device description for more details.

Been seeing a lot of people annoyed that old Switch 1 games having a Handheld vs TV Mode, where the TV version runs better and at higher quality, simply runs on Sw2 in handheld it were a Switch 1 Handheld, despite the power and screen difference. So that’s a cool boost to it.

I SAID A NEW STAR FOX GAME

And pretty sure 64 is just a retelling of the SNES game so technically we have a whole quintology of the same game :sob:

Star Fox
Star Fox 64
Star Fox 64 3D
Star Fox Zero
(Checks notes) uh … Star Fox

I’m also not sure yet what the catch is. With Nintendo, theres always a catch. Star Fox 0 had those godawful controls, which they just insisted you had to use…

It’ll probably be rather short I imagine, hence why the price is a bit lower. Although the fact that they drop this out of nowhere, and plan to release it in under 2 months is either very confident, or screams “we need to get this out and move on as quickly as possible.”

I’ll be honest though, I’d like to play this, it looks fun. But then, I’ve never played any Star Fox game before, so I am in the target demographic for this.

Mind you, arguably they could just port Zero, and in the process, rip out the bad controls for something better. But at this point, I’m guessing Nintendo has no interest in porting anymore Wii U games, I think Xenoblade Chronicles X is the last thing from that console to get a big re-release.

Unfortunately, in the Nintendo Museum, “most areas are prohibited to use photography or taking video” :sob: Dang it man, I was hoping this one would be more lenient than Ghibli.

Excited to visit later though! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
