Not a meme per say but right now at a very difficult time in my life after splitting with a company that I enjoyed working for and literally worked at half my life (Iâm 48namd was near my 24 yr anniversary mark) but stress became too much and I had to just walk away, that said this video actually made me laugh
Good for you for walking away, most people would say âWell Iâve been here this long, Iâll just deal with itâ and make themselves miserable.
Currently in the same situation, but havenât done the walking away part. Switching careers isnât easy but youâve got to look out for yourself
Thanks for the words of encouragement it means a lot right now my friend ,the stress was really starting to effect my health badly both mentally and physically , itâs weird as I had no intention of doing so. at the same time I subconsciously squirreled away over a months worth of wages, Iâve always put my wife and children above myself so I never really was concerned about myself and after mentioning that to both my doctor and dentist after them both getting on me about my huge spike in blood pressure and it being due to stress, they both said the same exact thing, if I donât start taking care of myself Iâm wonât be around much longer for that to matter so I had to walk way. Its definitely scary to start over after so much and time invested and me getting older but at the same time I have a wave of calmness and peace of mind I havenât felt in a long time, I donât like to put out my personal stuff out here like this but at the same time if only one person reads this I feel as if I lifted a little more burden on myself.
Itâs scary but itâs the right thing to do, for yourself and for your family. Good foresight to be tucking that money away, even if it was subconscious!
And about getting older, youâre not at that age yet but Iâm willing to bet the stress has been making you feel a good decade older. Thereâs no letting how many years youâre adding to your lifespan by removing such stress.
This is a major change because itâs the closing of a chapter, but that just means youâre starting a whole new one.
