The Workout Thread - Fitter, Faster, Stronger

There’s a strict «No Photos, No Videos, No Phonecalls»-Policy at my gym. Still there are always a few people constantly checking their phones for messages, scrolling through Tiktok or Instagram and blocking the equipment for a long time without actually working out.
So today I was pleasantly surprised to find those pictures everywhere:

(It says «Checking your phone, scrolling, listening to messages… do this somewhere else and not on the equipment… other people want to work out.»)

So the first thing you do is whipping out your phone to take a picture? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Suggest they go old school and disallow phones on the floor at all.

“Oh but my workout app” Use a notepad and a pencil !!!

I must say I’m very happy with my workout app, over are the days where I had to create a whole document with grids and get everything to fit. Then copy it for 8-12 words, add variations and extra sets as the weeks progressed. And be damned if I for some reason forget it.

Then 8-12 weeks later I had to start over with the next program, go through my weight and reps, calculate new values if I reused exercises.

But with my app, it takes me about 5-10 min to setup a whole week of training. It remembers PR’s weight, volume and if I want to add a set or change a exercise I can do that within seconds.

Do I like to lay my phone on the floor for certain exercises? No. But neither did I enjoy logging around with a physical training log, that could get wet.
