Urgent: Saving SONKO

I’m friends with both Ibbe and Helpwhite on PlayStation. I’ll check with them.

Cool, could mean more potential hands on deck!
But with regards to the contract recreation and with view on the posts above: let’s stick to omitting the complications that go beyond “no pacifications”, “no suit change” and the “kill method” and “suit” restrictions. SONKO Purity!

All contracts are on PlayStation and no longer require any specific kill methods.

For Hitman 3, besides # 61 by @Sniff, what other locations have been done? I’d like to start on a couple if possible.

Cool. Thinking about what to do.

Nice, looking forward to them again. I hate creating contracts, sorry lol.

Please buy an Xbox so I can play your contracts

Agreed.

Keep this for legacy SONKO and once or near completion, a new thread can be created. Adding new ones into this thread was just end up like this

My SONKO#4 can be recreated without the extra Required Exit complication.

I agree with Euler, we should keep it pure SONKO.

I recreated quite a few for Xbox. You can find their IDs in the opening post, or find the contracts in game with the keyword SONKO

@Sniff Thanks for the batch of recreations. You said you changed some stuff, and for cross-platform consistency I think it would be good to stick to your changes. Could you add the details of your contracts (on where to find the additional targets, but also the original ones) to your post? That way I can refer to it in the opening post, instead of the outdated archive. Also could you add the details to your Dartmoor SONKO, also for recreation?

As a general rule, don’t change anything about the Archive SONKO’s, unless there are complications that go beyond the SONKO purity. I gladly give Sniff a pass since they were his contracts and he was the first to recreate them, but more exceptions will make it very difficult for me to keep up.

@DarkHelmet I noticed you added some contract IDs to one of your posts. Thanks for that! However, additional “tags” of my name don’t show up in my notifications when it’s in an edit, so I’m risking of missing some. Don’t be shy in the future to just create a new post when you’ve re-created more contracts, as it makes it easier for me. Thanks! Also heads-up before you start on 29 and other Sniff contracts: Sniff changed some stuff.

@zeroyear Thanks for the re-creates! Will add

@TheCasualHitman and others, with regards to new SONKOs: I’ll add 61, and the claim for 62, to the list. But I’d keep it to that, for now. SONKO is also in large part about sharing approaches, impressions, video walkthroughs. If we start doing that here, keeping up with my administration in the opening post is going to become quite challenging. Euler13 has already agreed to creating the new, actual, live SONKO thread, so thank you in advance for letting him do the honours, as the original initiator of this idea. Obviously he can do this according to his own schedule.

Thank you all very much for your enthusiasm! I’m loving it!

I friended ya and found them by searching SONKO

Beat ya Euler

I changed the contracts because I wanted to turn them into Any Methods and they seemed too easy to complete, so I just added an extra target in some contracts.

Is it okay to post runs here?

And I’ll take a few for XBOX.

#27 Hokkaido

#44 Hokkaido

#53 Mumbai

I’ll do these later and will try to do more.

Done with 3 for now
XBOX

#27: sAndK / Hokkaido

#44: Kinyo92 / Hokkaido
3-10-9106739-50

#53: CHAOS_AGENT_45 / Mumbai

I did find something different while replaying/creating these. After watching fast speedruns of some of them with an ANY or Accident kill method, an ET phone was used. Not anymore!

I love SONKO, it’s arguably the way HITMAN should be played. I’ll get flak for this because the game is however you want it to be. But as a stealth gamer, SONKO runs are the best. Reminds me of the “No Traces” challenge of MGS.

Can I book creating SONKO #63?

We’ll just finish recreating the old ones first. I guess you could claim it, but I wouldn’t recommend publishing it yet.

Already created.
However, Location is mendoza.
Mendoza contracts are unplayable by bug…

#41-46, #49 & #60 recreated for PlayStation.

#60: 2-05-2341664-81

Turns out #50 uses the Ice Pick for one of the kills, which I can’t unlock because we don’t have the Hokkaido Snow Festival. I’d be happy to recreate it using another melee weapon that isn’t in New York (the Janbiya, maybe), but if someone who did the transfer wants to take a stab at it, that’d be cool too.

@Franz Good to know that those extra edit tags don’t do anything. :upside_down_face:
Figured it’d be easier to keep them all in the same place, but will make new replies when adding stuff going forward.

@Sniff Already recreated your SONKO #28 with it’s original kill conditions on Stadia. I’ll do the revised contracts going forward.

@Franz great idea man. I just found out about this thread.
