Start with only cooking one day a week. Put aside the time to do it. You’ll also quickly realize that cooking for 1 and often even for 2 is silly. The same amount of work goes into cooking for 4 or 6. What this means is a lot of people cook something (let’s say stuffed peppers) and they make enough for 3 meals and then they eat 1 and save 2. Now they have lunch for work for two days this week. If you embrace it that way and you don’t mind eating leftovers for lunch or dinner a couple times a week it can really cut down on the time and it will also save you from spending $15 on lunch each day.
Cooking also gets faster as you get better. Pick a dish, buy the ingredients and follow the recipe. It will take a while but the next time you make it you won’t need the recipe bc you’ll remember it and it will take 1/2 the time (=
