When throwing things to attract NPCs I randomly haerd a dialogue saying “Can someone go see what the funk that was?”. So what does “what the funk” mean? Is that a gentle version of “what the fxxk?” And so does “Oh, shoot!”, is it a gentle “Oh, sh*t!”?

Yes. It’s a euphemism for the F word.
Also this likely doesn’t need its own category. Next time I suggest using the “ask HMF anything” category for a simple question like this.
