With the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remaster and Co-Op mode in the distant future as I’m writing this, what kind of merchandise would you like for IOI to release to hold us over?
Clothing, figurines, or any other ideas!
Personally, I’d like for IOI to partner with some toy companies and release Agent 47 action figures. If this idea is ever considered, I have two ways they could do it.
The 1/6 scale Agent 47 figure:
It would be around the size of a Hot Toy or a Barbie wearing his classic suit. The figure would come with his signature weapons, a briefcase with the Hitman insignia, removable clothes, and some nostalgic items. They could even sell sets of different disguises and eras of the franchise. Blood Money set, Absolution set, bodyguard set, butcher set, Requiem set, etc. It would be expensive for both the company and the fans, but would be some of their best merch to ever release.
The 1/12 scale Agent 47 action figures:
IOI making a series of 47 action figures in different outfits from the games would lead to many cool ideas. There would be many figures in all sorts of disguises from bell boy to flamingo mascot. Even just his suits from the other games. The ideas are almost endless! They would be cheaper than the 1/6 scale version and would have that “Collect them all” kind of thing that many toy companies do on a regular basis.
This post was just an excuse to get this idea I’ve had for some time out into the world. If you have any other ideas, I would love to hear them!
47’s likeness would be licensed to a toy making company. Or a “company” that specializes in such collectable merchandise.
Can you imagine? A retro commercial with Agent 47! With Lucas Gray, Diana, Agent Smith, and Arthur Edwards action figures? The announcer says “Agent Smith has been captured (again) and it’s your job as Agent 47 to rescue him!”
Nah man, I’m British, guns are just a cool bit of iconography for fictional entertainment here, not actual tools that Joe Bloggs can pick up with the weekly shop at Tesco.
The latest attempt of making a 47 action figure was decades ago (Play arts kai and NECA). I don’t think toy manufacturers would bat an eye on Game IP like Hitman.
