Oh no! How awful. ☹ One of my cats died this year too. On my birthday. Worst one I had so far. But it ended after an ongoing illness, so it was not out of the blue like for you. I was always glad that the cats of ours that roam outside had no roads between our backyard and the park. I never had to fear such a thing could happen, though there were summer days they took some extra rounds and missed their food hours and I was worried until they showed up. The remaining cat of the three that used to live here is living only indoors. Anyway, this is about your cat. Keep thinking of the many nice things of her. 🫂 ---

Holy shit… I am so sorry for your loss. That’s absolutely awful Silver! Please take whatever time you need to grieve and seek mental help if you can. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I know she’ll be incredibly missed. Heck, I’ll miss her too, she was really cute to hear in the background of our calls. 😢 Jesus, that’s so heartbreaking and I hope that one driver faces some horrible karma… 🫂 🤍 ---

@Silvereyes I am so sorry dude. I hope with time you remember only the good times and laugh, but for now the pain is normal. Separate post… Well I have Covid )= You ever eat someplace and then later when your tummy hates you you have this unreasonable feeling that you know what it was? You’re like “it was the olives on that sandwich,” even though you have no reason to suspect them. They smelled and looked fine. It could just as easily be the mayo or the highly suspect looking lettuce, but you’re sure. It was the olives!?!? \<\< that’s what’s going on now. I was on a plane Sunday. I’m sure it was the dude with the Maga hat and the bass pro shop shirt. Had to be. I’m sure of it lol. Anyway I hope it passes soon. I feel like death. ---

I’ve been keeping the other cat inside, mainly for my own anxiety. He was distant the last few days but finally came up to me and snuggled up last night on the couch, so hoping he’ll be OK in the end. The house just feels so much emptier. Trying to take everything one day at a time. I have a week off work in a couple weeks time which might be good just to get away from work and rest for a bit. ---

A couple weeks ago, my grandad watched the 2007 Hitman film. He watched the whole thing, but didn’t seem to like how overpowered 47 was (he likes sci-fi to an extent and action moreso, but it was “getting silly”), nor did he know what was going on half the time. I guess he joins the club of those who did not like the films, lol ---

Work today was tough. Busy busy afternoon. It calmed down in the evening thankfully so we got caught up on cleaning tasks but… Please be kind to retail workers if they’re gonna close soon. 10 mins before close, a couple comes in and orders 2 different fancy lattes. 5 mins before, a guy comes in and thinks _really hard_ about what he wants for 2 mins, then settles on a basic coffee. 😕 1 MINUTE before close, this dude _struts in_ to get a fancy latte, just UUUGH. ---

I wish people were more nice to retail workers in general. In my experience working in a dollar store and now a regular grocery store lots of people are perfectly fine being rude or outright yelling their frustrations onto us for their own mistakes or problems that we can’t influence or help. ---

My mum had to install one of those ultrasonic dog whistle apps, the neighbours have this woeful mutt that does nothing but bark and whine all day until their owners come home. It as spent the better part of today barking and when I floated the idea past them the took to it themselves. Mum found they had apps for USF whistles while looking for a genuine emitter. Here’s hoping we can make it work. ---

(a bit of a gross-out warning) About 1 or 2 weeks ago I noticed a white lump under my skin below my left knee and on the outside of my leg. Like it was at the top of my fibula. It seemed hard, and kinda itchy but only if I’d mess with it. There was no pain with it. So today I’m sitting on my chair in front of my computer, wearing shorts… And I see this white/yellowish dried film or some other substance on my calf. I scratch it off… That bump now has a cut or something on it. So… I squeeze it. This clear, but thick substance comes out. It didn’t even have an odor. I got more out and wiped it off with a paper towel. It started turning red but stopped, at least. It never bled, though. I’ve never had, let alone seen anything like that before. I tried to “Google it” but I’m pretty sure any of the pics I came across didn’t match whatever I had. ---

Really? Because it simply sounds like a cyst to me, I have never had one but my mum does and it sounds like it is the same thing.
