Google is failing me. A red class wind is abnormally bad I take it?
The British MET office uses colour warnings to describe weather warnings, such as rain, snow, ice, wind etc. It goes from Yellow to Amber to Red, with Red being the highest tier, and basically means it can be very dangerous.
Britian is being hit by Storm Arwen right now which is causing problems. At least in Edinburgh it seems the storm will stop being an issue by sunrise. Iām right on the coast so I havenāt been hit by snow, but it seems further in-land has seen some snow.
You need some designated Canadians to come over and teach you how to handle the cold.
But seriously. Fuck the owners for not prioritizing your safety.
Ha, oh that reminds me of high school when we had a Norwegian exchange student and thought it was hilarious how badly we handled a centimeter of snow. British weather is just miserable really, cold and rainy but not cold enough to give beautiful snow.
Well the owners made us work through the entire pandemic as well, so this wasnāt much of a surprise. Really, I should of just walked out, I probably would of too but Iād be screwing over a couple of co-workers in the process, and I really didnāt want to do that. I guess I have too much loyalty to my co-workers. Iām hoping to quit in the Spring or Summer, hopefully after selling my house, just hopefully something a tiny bit more decent. At the very least, not a zero hour contract.
Itās been a while since Iāve got it, but I ordered whatās referred to as a āFlow Ropeā. I ordered it off of Ebay, and got the mid ranged one. There is a lighter rope, as well as heavier ones. There are simple routines almost anyone could do after watching a youtube video for a bit. Then there is one called the āDragon Dropā that I can almost get, but something doesnāt feel right about it, so I donāt think Iām doing it quite right. It involves some behind the back stuff and twisting your body left and right. If only I had enough space in front of a large mirror, maybe then I could see what Iām doing wrong. And no, I donāt have a way to film myself (no cell phone).
The benefit comes from when you can string together different routines/motions⦠and thus, get into a āFlowā. Itās supposed to help burn calories. I have bad knees anyway, so if I were to do something like jump-rope Iām not gunna have a good time. Something like this might be easier/better for me. And yeah. I could practice more. 'Guess Iāll have to stick with it. Maybe I can use my glass sliding door from outside for a mirror to see where Iām messing up in my technique.
I donāt think this deserves its own topic, so Iāll just post it here to be forgotten later.
Thinking about this whole GTA Remaster kerfuffle. Maybe Iām being a bit āCapt. Obviousā here, but I noticed someone made a Tomb Raider III HD Remaster. Itās only a few levels, and yeah, it does look good. The levels are (as far as I know) a complete copy from the original game. Just better textures or bit-maps(?) on the polygons. Lara looks just like she did in TR3⦠Just sharper. No new model -perse. And to me, that looks a bit weird. Iām sure if I were to play the old game that Iād not have any degree of aversion to it.
It seems like Iām rambling, but I think I made my point on ^that.
Then you have the Tomb Raider II (remake) DOX (Dagger of Xian). In this, Lara is not a 1:1 transfer from the original game to this new one. And (IMO) Lara looks perfect! (chefās kiss). Neither are the levels a straight transfer. But the overall direction as far as the routes you take, the enemies you face, most of the obstacles seem to be very reminiscent of the old game. Mind you, there are a few new things here and there that are (what most might consider) improvements.
I guess my point is⦠Iām reminded of the old saying; āYou canāt make a silk purse from a sowās ear.ā Or maybe a sickly, scrawny person dressed up in new clothes is still going to be sickly and scrawny.
Participated in my first CodeForces(a russian based platform for competitive programming) contest. Solved problem A 5 minutes late, and B exceeded the time limit in the tests
My final ranking was ~6000, which couldāve been way better if I could optimize the time sooner. It was yet a good experience, going to make up for it in the next contest, Wednesday
Gotta love finishing RE2make last night and all of a sudden YouTube recommends me this today
(Itās actually pretty well made! This is from IGN?)
Haha @TheChicken I just starting playing this!! Lots of fun but I am out of bullets because I didnāt realize you donāt really have to shoot all the zombies.
Now I am stuck with no health and running away from zombie dogs. Lmao
Got to find another save and regroup!
Lol good luck then! Donāt need to shoot the Zombie dogs by the way, I found you can usually avoid them without losing much health.
Thereās one enemy type youāre going to really want to kill later (youāll know it when you see it) and itās advised that you do, once you get the right tool.
And by the time you reach the final area of the game you should be overloaded with ammo if youāve done enough backtracking and gunpowder crafting.
Thanks. Having lots of fun.
Awesome. Which character did you pick first? I went with Leon for my playghrough.
Oh, and a tip for Lickers: to kill them āeasilyā, use the knife. They can get stunlocked a bit doing that and it kills them faster and quieter than using ammo. Plus, you wonāt be so scared of some hallways later once theyāre dead.
Leon yeah. Lickers lol. Creepy. Lots of jump scares.
They suck, i hate them. Hunters are my favorite BOWs, but sadly they skipped RE2 ![]()
I like the Lickers, but Iām tired of them taking up so much of RE promotional material and the movies. Hunters and Tyrants are far more effective as bioweapons and are more emblematic of what the series is about, while the Lickers are just wild animals that were created by accident. All attempts to actually weaponize them have been unstable at best.
But can you board up every window though? I thought there were more windows zombies can break in than there are boards to stop them.
i want to play re2r but im a coward.

It probably helps if youāre at least seasoned in some horror titles, so youāre more used to what to expect.
Now, I have no idea how I got to this point where I willingly chose to buy, play, and against all terrifying odds finish RE2, but⦠I think once youāve experienced Alien: Isolation, everything else is at least a step down. Iāve also finished RE7, Outlast, and Until Dawn as other horror titles in the past.
Still canāt touch things like FNAF with a ten foot pole though lol.
