Thanks! The 80s is my favorite timeframe to be what I am now in. idk I just feel things would’ve been more fun due to the limitations.
And as for the contests, how would they take place with the old tech?

Yesterday I decided to cease use of Discord dot com. This meant I left every server I was currently in - including f7sc, Hitmaps and Lego Stuffers. I originally hinted at this earlier, but now I am no longer willing to invest my time spent into this anymore.
tw / Mean-spirited Complaints
Many people here may not know this, but I was appointed mod at f7sc via their “Security” role - smaller mod privileges that could only mute and remove messages (and only now could ban and kick people for some reason). Obviously me leaving the server concluded that I am resigning there as well for the time being.
At first I thought I could get back to business and focus my efforts to Hitman again. Now, I feel that I am no longer welcome in a place I supposedly liked. There are people in the Hitman community residing on Discord that I wish could settle quarrels with. But I can’t. Because nobody gives a shit whenever I try to be genuine with my answers.
When I left, I realised I was better off without the site anymore. I didn’t want to return back. I didn’t want to elaborate further. I felt at peace for once. I am confident that I won’t be returning back for a while, probably indefinitely.
On Discord, forgiveness isn’t a goal in mind. It is treated as an afterthought. All of you who shittalk about specific people behind their back somehow makes it ok with you. And this isn’t about the one time you had an inconvenient user ask you a stupid question. You do this to everybody who has the slightest of disapproval. It chews you up, fractures your flimsy ego, and then you eventually forget about it one month down the line to prey on the next victim for forgiveness.
You can call it petty. You can call it dumb. I don’t really care. All I want is people to feel normal, and civilised, and calm. To feel like they can achieve things. To feel like they have a whole lot to tell stories than “I just went for a drinking night and got to hook up with this girl’s Snapchat”. I don’t want to be told to give up, to accept whatever half-ass reason you think is best for me. I want to feel like myself.
I have no real reason to return back to a place where I feel unwelcome, people shittalk about people behind their back, and serves as a distraction from the boring things in life to bitch about boring people. As such I won’t be returning back to f7sc, Hitmaps and Lego Stuffers, until I feel welcomed back. I am confident that I won’t be missed however - you have a good habit of bitching about people regardless.

I am no longer active on the server, in this case f7sc, because it consists of many scheduled events that I couldn’t keep up with. Well plus the fact that my playstyle of Hitman is slow and I couldn’t really compete with others. But anyway, when I was there a year ago, I didn’t see you as a mean-spirited member. At least to me, you were pretty calm and polite, and always respond back when greeting.
All I want to say is though, people have their own reasons to join, take a break, or leave any group as they wish. I can’t say I will stay here forever, either. But anytime you wish to be here, I will always welcome you.

Starlink has arrived to Odessa.
As they say the equipment is already installed but not active as the city has no problems with the connection as of now.
As soon as something happens, it will be plugged in and distribute internet.
Though there is no info on pricing or other stuff been spread.
I suppose it will be free till the war ends, but it’s only my personal assumption

And that’s precisely the reason I barely use Discord. It has plenty of advantages, but way too much tox in most places. I work around it tbh, I use speedrundotcom dms to chat with top speedrunners and the rest is done here or on YT or Twitch.
I actually got banned from using Discord within hours of making my first account, somebody reported me as an under 13 which is hilarious.

Disney sucks and they buy everything they can get their dirty hands on. I hope they’ll never buy WB, because i fear that they would probably kill off Mortal Kombat just because its not something that fits their image or some shit.

EDIT: also i didn’t knew about this “Don’t say Gay” Thing, but they also cut out the kissing women at the end of one of the terrible new star wars movies in China. Fuck them.

Disney won’t do that, Disney is the same company that distributed Pulp Fiction. Also WB aren’t even an independent studio, they are owned by communications company AT&T. Disney could theoretically negotiate they purchase from AT&T but AT&T are obviously not going to set a reasonable and modifiable price and Disney can’t straight up buy AT&T since that would be outright monopolisation.
Basically the same thing but in schools. The Right seem to think their kids are too stupid to learn about gender without teaching them SexEd (not that it matters because SexEd is basically child grooming to them and all those terms are interchangeable) so they decided to just straight up ban it by giving parents the ability to sue schools if they think their child has learnt something objectionable or has been taught using objectionable practices. Theoretically the bill is so broad I can get a teacher sacked for saying their marital status or for defining what marriage is.
From the party of free speech and small government by the way.

Just yesterday, a letter from some LGBTQ employees at Pixar was released, that explained how Disney would cut any “overtly gay” moment, even if Pixar creatives or executives pushed back.

Its worth noting that Disney seems to be more lenient on gay topics in their TV series, like in Owl House or. Amphibia, but even then, the creatives had to really fight for it and the disney series have a much smaller audience than their films.

The same Owl House who had one of its creators go on Reddit and openly say the Disney execs said the show “Didn’t fit their brand” despite it literally being a child’s animated show?
