What's New....?

I recommend using Firefox with Ublock Origin, the best way to kill any and all adverts every time.

Sounds like the unholy child of ubisoft and EA :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It does, doesn’t it? Unlike either Uplay or Origin it provides quality service for free.

I hated this morning. I got a new phone yesterday and did a backup to the cloud then a restore to my new phone. I made a massive mistake immediately wiping my old phone thinking I wouldn’t need it anymore. Well I needed it for my 2FA app Authy. When I went on the Authy app to start logging into all my apps again I realized I couldn’t get the codes from the Authy app without a backup code being put in which I forgor. Authy doesn’t store backup codes and since I didn’t write it down I was blocked from getting all the codes for different social media, websites, etc. But I learned I could have changed the backup code on my old one since it was still signed in. But I already wiped it clean. I was terrified I just locked myself out of all my accounts and crap till I got some relief. If I deleted all the 2FA from the Authy app I could make a new backup code without knowing the previous one (which I wrote down this time ). So I had to go on my computer which was still logged into most of these apps and disable my 2FA one at a time until the app was cleared. After clearing it I could start turning the 2FA back on one at a time. Luckily what started out as a stressful morning has been resolved. So the lesson of the story… write down your passwords or as Gman said “prepare for unforeseen consequences”.

You can install Authy on your PC as well. I strongly recommend doing that, so you have at least two devices from which you can get 2FA codes.
If you sign into Authy on PC with the same account as on your phone and enter your backup password all of the codes you have set up should be there automatically.

That’s what I plan to do. When I was looking for a solution earlier today I watched a video on YouTube and a person mentioned using Authy on PC also.

Gotta carve out some time tomorrow to write my thoughts on It Takes Two – we finished it!

And also just recently finished Resident Evil 7 and a bit of the DLC after playing it for the past 7 days. My second playthrough in many years. Still super spooky. Both love and hate how well-made it is.

Silvereyes, you gotta write your thoughts on It Takes Two! I wanna know what your favourite part was, or what impressed you the most about it. Sorry I kinda had to skedaddle the other night since it was dinner time for me!

Also, no Spider-Man 2 yet… I don’t think it’s in transit yet.

This is what I get for trusting Shopville CA, instead of other big retailers. They were selling the game for a whole dollar less than MSRP! That’s a deal in this age of wild game prices!

Have already talked about playing It Takes Two a couple of months ago, w game, personally liked A Way Out more because the prison escape theme is much cooler than a couple turns into dolls to fix their marriage.

Totally recommend to play these two games, if you don’t have anyone at home to play it with, you can always ask from someone in the forum that might join in (I personally finished these 2 and these are basicaly puzzle games so no need to replay), but I much more recommend couch co op because having a friend right by your side is a blast, totally recommended.

A friend of mine just told me someone was trolling in some Discord server and it was eventually revealed the owner of the server was using an alt account just to screw around everyone in the group for weeks.

Discord dot com has once again further homogenised to the worst social platform in internet commerce and you should continue participating in it.

Today is election day in Switzerland. It’s kind of a complicated system here. We have two chambers in our parliament: The first one with 200 members represents the citizens and every Canton (district) gets to send a certain number of representatives based on the population. The second one has 46 members and represents the Cantons. Every one gets to send 2 representatives – with the exception of a few very small Cantons, they only send one. Those to chambers decide everything, we really don’t have a head of state. We have seven people in charge of different things like finances, army, foreign relations, … The parliament elects those and they are also the ones to represent Switzerland abroad. In the end the two chambers aren’t that powerful either. Of course they set the agenda and propose laws. But the public gets to vote about almost every decision: we have four dates per year especially for those votes.
Anyway: It will be interesting to see who wins today but it won’t really change a lot. For me personally it means a long day at work. I’m in charge of the news ticker for one Canton and will be in the election center with all the politicians and experts. When everything is over I have to write a commentary about the vote and what this means for the next four years.
All this is a lot of work but I kind of like it.

Sweet! Does Napalm Death have anything new on the horizon? Cult of Luna’s last album is amazing. I don’t know LLNN but will give ‘em a listen.

For my part I saw Oxbow and Couch Slut last night. Pretty well attended, considering the niche genres. And the bands were great. Lots of energy.

Appreciate the insights as always. Never seen either Napalm or Luna, so it’s cool to hear about the latter’s audience interaction.

As for LLNN and their ridiculously heavy, caustic punishment – yay? Sometimes stuff like that is a bit too far for me, and I want to hear a catchy riff. I will check out Unmaker.

The band GNAW opened up the show I was at last night. I didn’t know it at the time but they’re fronted by Alan Dubin who was in Khanate (who by the way have a new album). It was just pure sonic depravity. Disgusting dissonance and psychopathic song arrangement. I can appreciate it for what it is, but it doesn’t make for an enjoyable listening experience. Check them out if you dare.

Contacted my retailer I ordered SM2 from… Just as I thought, they haven’t received their shipment from their supplier yet, so that’s why there’s a delay.

Dang. Welp, the wait continues.
Let’s see what shows up first. This, or Driveclub next week.
