You’re still a fantastic artist, and it’s a damn shame people don’t want your talent. Because you are talented! :people_hugging:

If I had a dollar for any upcoming games that use their ā€˜#2/sequel’ title as a way to also tease the amount of playable protagonists in that game, I’d have two dollars. Which is weird, especially that it’s happening twice in the span of 7 days.

I also now have 2 dollars which ties into the numbering theme- wtf is going on??

This is horrible to hear and your frustration must be endless, but youll get a job elsewjere from people who can actually see the amazing person in front of them.

It was very incredibly validating to read you guys’ kind words. Thank you friends @LandirtHome @Mini @Screaming_Meat @TheChicken @Khakiasp . :blue_heart:

This rejection felt extra confusing because why the fuck would someone send an NDA, have their candidate sign it, and then they sign it…just to say no. It seems unprofessional and a waste of everyone’s time.

Just have to keep searching I guess. I hope you all have a nice rest of your weekend.

It is also a sign it might not be a place you want to work at. Who know what other work goes to the waste there due to mismanagement.

At a Lowe’s today, and they have Christmas displays mixed in with the Halloween displays. It’s officially beyond ridiculous.

So I’ve seen a lot of people toss around the game Manhunt as actually a really good classic game for its time – meanwhile for me I’ve only ever heard if it in passing as ā€œthat really violent video game that was banned onceā€

But after checking out this retrospective review, it’s… impressive the gameplay systems, structures and themes the game covered, that would heavily inspire and allow much more successful and well-known titles to release in the future, based around stealth or bleak violence!

It’s a great game. What I always liked about it was how vulnerable it made you feel, melee combat with more than one enemy was an almost guaranteed death sentence so it really made you reliant on darkness and observation. It was blunt with its violence, and I suppose that did earn it a kind of reputation, but the violence was coupled with this excellent and grimy atmosphere that really made it stand out.

I’ll give you a heads up though that if you want to play it through Steam, there’s a fix you need to install to make it playable.

Manhunt is an excellent standalone game (it has a sequel but they’re unconnected) that has a simple premise for essentially playing the villain in a slasher movie, made more palatable by virtue of you hunting down and killing other violent criminals who are specifically after you. I sometimes envision Hitman stabbing, strangling and bludgeoning animations incorrectly before realizing that I’m picturing 47 performing kills with the same animations as this game, which frankly I wish could be done. The extremism of this game, in its violence, profanity, and overall adult themes, is wonderful, rivaled only, in my opinion, by The Suffering.

Alrighty spent the last two days at the Halloween 45 Years of Terror Convention. Overall I had a blast and concluded I will be at H50.

I met a lot of great people, and plenty of celebrities who were in the movies. Had some highs and some low moments. A lot of resellers came to nab up a lot of the Exclusives but I managed to get the one I wanted which was the Dan Challis Figure since I’m a big H3 fan and it was limited to only 1000.

I got to meet Stef Hutchinson who was the writer for a lot of the Halloween Comics released in the 2000’s. Not many know of the comics, so he didn’t get a lot of people coming up to him. I met him on the first day and he showed me the progress on something Halloween related he is trying to finish, but they’re going through the legal process of doing so which is exciting. I visited him today thinking about picking up an Issue or two and he gave me a Comic Script half off which was limited to 31 people and followed me on Instagram he also signed it for free! It was a very memorable experience that I wanted to share :).

Reached the Finale/point-of-no-return section of God of War. (The typical part in the RPG where someone says ā€œHey, make sure you’re prepared before doing this, because you’re locked in once you do thisā€)

Just triggered the boss battle’s start, but I’ll leave that for another time when it’s less late and I have more time for it.

I really appreciate the lead up to it, as it’s smart in a kind of cheesy way that the sequence starts off with you entering The Belly of the Beast – both figuratively and literally as shown by a Location pop-up lol

If you’re in the United States, FEMA will be testing the national alert system tomorrow (October 4) at 2:20 Eastern Daylight Time. Everyone’s phone, radio and TV should sound off the alert and it is only a test. No need to worry about it.

Gearing up to make my first big boy purchase… a car.

Usually I had the help with my father in the past since he is the car guru, but not me as an adult now I’m on the market trying to find something relatively ā€œnewā€ with of course affordable monthly payments.

Fortunately I have found some listings that meet my standards and am gonna keep an eye on them. Hopefully by the end of the month/early November I’ll be on the road with something less death trappy and something more new.

My colleague, and friend, was fired today after it was discovered she’d engaged in months of theft using an exploit in our POS system.

Huge breach of trust. Not good.

And I am the one who found, by accident, the evidence. (I don’t think she knows this.) Once I pointed out the list of irregularities to my boss, it was game over, man.

Conflicting emotions.

After living at the same apartment for 5 years I have finally moved to a nicer place that is more importantly right by my job.

No more 90 minute commutes and coming home too exhausted to do anything anymore after work. Now I can get home within half an hour and have the rest of the night to relax.
