Oh no, that will be for the next time as I offered my full services to take him and his family around.
Not only a second photo but lots of time to chat one on one. Last time there were like 100 fans gathering there to take a picture and say something to him this time was only him and me and we talked and talked.
This was one of the best days of my life hands down.
Thank you a lot. Everyone is home now and safe, thankfully. There was no way of staying there, power only returned yesterday afternoon, and there were even stronger winds. Some friends of mine who were still there managed to return safe as well.
@badeaguard don’t worry, I am happy that you were having an awesome time. Nature can be pretty scary, most of the time there is nothing we can do about it. I hope that this cyclone dies and no other comes over here, because it is clear we have no structure to shelter ourselves as natural disasters are very rare in my region
An update on the Sonic comic books. The DC x Sonic mini-series concluded with issue #5 on Wednesday. The conclusion was rather… standard, not too surprising when you have to juggle a dozen characters. But this crossover has been rather great despite that, lots of fun little moments and interactions between the worlds of DC and Sonic. Did well too, the first issue has received four reprints, must surely be one of the highest selling single issue Sonic comics of all time by this point. I imagine the trade should do well. Whether or not they’ll do more comics, I’m not sure. They have said this crossover brand thing is meant to last into 2026 as well, but whether that is just merch I’m not sure. The mini-series ends with a potential tease for a sequel with Dr Eggman and Lex Luther agreeing to a partnership, and building a giant mech suit together.
As for the IDW comics, issue #80 just came out, and it was a fun action focused one. Got some time between Espio and Rouge of all characters, characters who I’m honestly not sure have ever really talked to each other much before. The big thing issue #80 teases us with is that “the road to issue #100” has now started, as well as some mysterious villian being in the background plotting some devious. New villian or someone returning, I honestly have no idea.
Issue #81 will see the introduction of a new character and location, Lunar, in the city of Sequin. Looks fun, digging the design. The bigger announcement is that from issue #84, the IDW comic will finally be taking place after the event of the latest mainline Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers. IDW started in the aftermath of Sonic Forces, so to finally be caught up with the main timeline is going to be really juicy. Especially with the teasing of (spoilers for Sonic Frontiers, if you care) the introduction of Sage into the IDW-verse, and the tease of what this mean’s for Belle, Eggman’s other daughter. Should be very interesting, and whether or not Ian Flynn plans to try and make the IDW comics canonical to the video games.
Oh… Well, this is definitely different. I was about to say that I noticed the other day, when you highlight something, then click the gear, you have more options.
I’d wager this is stemming from the work(?) where they had the categories page showing when logging in fresh. And that’s been… What? A couple of months now? Edit: they also dropped the log-in window to direct you to a different page (the log-in page).
