I love TV Tropes for this reason, but also hate it because I’ll read something and feel exposed 
The cat distribution system graced us with a kitten.
There was a trap placed to capture him, his mother was caught so were the three other kittens so he was the last one.
The person who’ve I’ve been mentioning in the past like me are autistic and one of their special interest is cats. Turns out the trap wasn’t set up properly, they tried to lure the kitten with dry adult food, and there was a likely chance the kitten would of either gotten hit by a car or die of malnourishment. Well She/They intervened and for two hours sought after the kitten.
Further context this was outside my job, and my boss was making promises to coworkers he wouldn’t have been able to keep on who gets the kitten.
There’s a lot of nuance and I’ve made my side clear that I’m sticking with the one that I love over people feeling entitled over something they didn’t go out of their way to make happen.
So we named him Spectre. Spec for short. We’re very surprised about his temperament and is an absolute angel. Wasn’t scared in the slightest. We’re currently figuring out where he will live. I’d have to do some convincing , but worse case scenario is he stays with them.
Before I left their house last night. They apologized to me cause I was getting pressed at work by my boss over this kitten. I told them it’s not their fault, I was defending her actions, and made it clear I was proud of them for what they did. They thanked me for coming to their defense and ultimately sticking to being a bigger person when I was getting anxious/angry at work cause of my boss.
It’s never a dull moment with this person, we both love each other and what we bring to our lives. It’s been a very interesting few months, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

One of my aunts was planning a family trip to Jamaica for her birthday in December but due to hurricane Melissa, that’s been postponed. Though to be honest, I’m not particularly sad about it. It was just bad timing for me overall because I was working on getting my roof replaced. Generally when something important needs to be done, I tend to be hung up on it until it’s finished so I told her I couldn’t commit to the trip.
But it’s been pushed back until March so maybe by then I’ll have some pictures to post.

Due to some unexplainable event at night few days ago, one of my speakers fell over from the windowsill. Since then seems everything was alright and by all indications it stayed unharmed. Until now. The opposite speaker stopped working all of a sudden. While inspecting what’s happened, I discovered that one hand of the audio cable attached to the speaker which had a flight found itself broken and that pin just remained in the jack making it impossible to just replace a cable. I tried to disassemble the speaker to see if I can pull that pin out and it turned out that under all those wires and boards the section with all the sockets and buttons is covered with a sealed hood making it impossible to reach blocked jack at least in home environment.
At the end of the day I had no choice than reorder that same set of speakers.
Unexpected expense. Shit happens, huh?

My train is sitting stopped 100 yards from the platform in Cologne. A local train is stuck on the platform though and can not move. We waited 30 min without knowing the reason, but now they have told us the train in front does not have train driver. No idea how long it’ll be.
