Not to mention, the very fact that Rickman made an expression in the time it took him to fall only a few feet disproves the entire point the article was trying to make. You very clearly can have a facial reaction based on your brain processing your current situation in less than 3 seconds, as the actor performing in the scene they were using to explain the opposite proved when filming the scene, which they acknowledge in the same article.

He did fall about 30 feet for that shot which is pretty impressive.

Went to the cross town classic Sox v Cubs at Wrigley with my sister and 
. It went to an extra inning and the Cubbies won with a walk off home run in the bottom of the 10th! The only way baseball can get better than this is if we’re doing it again in late October for the World Series!!!
Bottom the 9th tied 5 to 5! I’ll never forget that scoreboard as long as I live.

My grandfather lived two blocks from Wrigley the whole time I was growing up. I remember sitting on his back porch in the 70s and 80s listening to the games over the rooftops while we watched on a little black and white TV (he was almost deaf so the sound on the TV was always off). I promised him when he passed that if the Cubs ever made it to the World Series I’d watch it and in 2016 I did. Got to go to game 4 too. I may not really care much about baseball anymore but Wrigley is a special place.

A couple days ago my computer monitor had some dark lines at the bottom as well as some glitchy pixels on the bottom left (intersecting in the bottom left corner). Along with that, everything looks like it has a very subtle scanline effect. It makes me think of something from MGS. Eh… Kinda cool looking, but having it look normal would be nice too. The lines at the very bottom and far left don’t really bother me. But, I’ll either need it repaired, or end up getting a new one.
Maybe something that has a higher refresh rate.
On top of that, my water heater no longer works (correctly). It keeps tripping the breaker after being on for a few minutes. Surely, calcium/lime build-up is likely to blame. It’s been a long long time since I cleaned my water heater out.
In the meantime (before I get it fixed), I don’t mind taking cold showers. There’s just that first few minutes of forcing your body to tough it out. And, it’s not that cold anyway (like it would be in the winter).

Things come in threes… I hope whatever the third thing is happens to be no big deal for you (like maybe a toaster or a shaver. Something easy to replace lol)

My cast Åse (it’s an old lady’s name, not a cat name) have been diagnosed with asthma. She is around 4 years old, so it was a bit of a surprise. She been having some trouble breathing the last month, we thought she was throwing up hairballs, it looked and sounded very similar. But she never managed to throw anything. The asthma attacks became worse and more frequent. So we took her to the vet. To begin with the vet thought she might have something stuck, that she couldn’t get rid off. We weren’t too nervous, she ate normally and talkative.
So now she will have to take medicine daily or every other day or whatever dose works best for her.

The monitor issues sounds like what I had earlier this year myself. Glitchy scanline-esque lines going horizontal across the screen getting progressively worse over time. I researched it and it was an issue with monitor’s refresh rate timing going out of sync over time (if that makes sense). It will get progressively worse. I have it set up as a guest TV now cuz im too poor to buy a proper new one for guests lol and its basically unwatchable now (for reference, the issue started appearing 5 months ago). It started out as just a few horizontal lines across the screen when in 60hz refresh rate (on the windows bios/startup screen) and then got worse over time to more and more lines ppearing on different refresh rates.
Try changing your monitor’s refresh rate as an interim solution until you can afford a new one. For me the lines only appeared on 165hz for a few weeks until they started spreading to other refresh rates.

Luckily she is doing well and even was outside the asthma attacks. The pills just removes problematic breathing.
Just glad it wasn’t something where we had to consider if putting her down was right.

The site’s colors are all topsy turvy today. Just me? I didn’t change any settings and it’s happening on Chrome and Safari.
Apart from that, life is hard and expensive and frustrating but here we are, giving it another go today.

I haven’t noticed anything different today. I’m using Firefox though, if that matters, on a normal desktop PC. Also, I use dark mode.

There are some elements of the color changes that I like; however, one thing I decidedly do not like is that reading text has become quite a bit harder.
