Has anyone got any plans for the summer?
I’m hopefully going away to Edinburgh for a few days with some friends, and then will be heading to Dublin shortly after with family.
This is of course, if lockdown restrictions don’t change

Vacational? I might, if I get the vaccine, head to Turkey to visit some friends and relatives after a year or so.
Also I might try my luck in mathematical olympiad, studying combinatorics for the next month.
I miss both Edinburgh and Turkey. I hope both of you guys get to go to your chosen spot and that it’s just lovely. @SilentWraith i assume you will go have a pint or a dram and the Last Drop. I know it’s silly but it’s fun to be touristy for half an hour sometimes. @Hichkas where in Turkey do you want to go? I have only been to Istanbul and the base at Incirlik.
My plan is to work my butt off in July and earn some coin, we have some plans for music stuff this summer. Lollapalooza being the biggest, but no big trips planned. Maybe we will end up getting to go somewhere.
My girlfriend wants to go on a vacation this year too, but i dont really want to. I like being at home.
Istanbul, I had also been in the southern parts once but Istanbul has everything you need from Turkey packed; I’m mostly hyped for the lego land as I was unable to visit it the last two times. I’ll get violent upset if it get closed this time due to any reason
Interesting. Never knew you’re as ancient as they make historical documentaries of you, @Bourbon.

Anywhere in particular in Edinburgh you want to visit? Some of the historical places can be pretty cool. There’s also places outside the city you can go if you wind up driving here.
One more cool thing about pride month before we switch gears, Disney actually did something clever and substantial to celebrate it.
They produced a 35-minute musical special themed around pride, of which the cast and crew were comprised of mostly people from the LGBTQ+ community, and allies.
It’s the longest ad for Disney Plus you’ll ever see, but it’s well-produced and a unique way to mark the occassion.
Had to go to the emergency room today. Just found out they are admitting me for a couple days.
I have colitis. Yeah no more spicy food or coffee. This is gonna suck. Let’s see what the shows up on the tests.
Hope you get well soon man.
I’ve been to Edinburgh loads over the years, but this is the first time my friends have gone so I’m acting as a tour guide
There’s a couple things we have lined up, Edinburgh Castle, open top bus tour, one of the whiskey or gin distilleries and climbing Arthur’s Seat. Anywhere else you would recommend?
Hope you get well soon @Chef-assassin
Sorry to hear that, but at least you are now where all the medical people can take good care of you. Rest up and get better soon!!
Hit the Last Drop for a drink. Since you are playing tour guide you can read up on it and explain it to your mates.
This is definitely something I’ve considered, I’ll propose it to the group and get back to you
Well, I’m a history guy, so I would always recommend some of the most historical aspects. National Museum of Scotland is big and has some impressive exhibits, worth even just a quick visit. There’s also the Museum of Childhood, that has a lot of great exhibits that go from the 1800’s to to the end of 1900’s. There’s St Mary’s Close, it’s a street literally buried under another street, you get a tour which talks about stuff like the plague and the plague doctors.
I’m going to work soon, I’ll try and think of anything else that might be interesting in Edinburgh itself. I know more about my area, East Lothian, than I do of Edinburgh itself to be honest. We have Scotland’s Museum of Flight which houses one of the Concordes.
Today is a good day

brett or jermaine?

I think they are housed in the Auckland MOTAT.
