Winter (2024) Roadmap Speculation

Looks like Greek to me!

Telling you we need a Die Hard parody for the Winter Roadmap Celebrity Elusive Target with Bruce Willis as a vigilante cop and the client/VIP portrayed in the likeness of Alan Rickman.

The location definitely! :joy:

The ET, not so much!

Interestingly, earlier today this page on the PlayStation site had the “PS5 Pro enhanced” tag on it for the game, but now its been removed.

Now was it a mistake, or was it added a little too early? Would make sense that they’re enhancing it given that they’re also adding the PSVR2 support in December. So I assume we’ll soon be able to experience the three year old saving bug on PS5 in native 4K soon… “Yay”.

The November 15th challenge was removed from the article.
So between this and the Disruptor returns announced the same day, I think it’s fair to assume the next Roadmap will start November 15th, the Season of the Splitter.

As I said on the splitter topic, I hope will will have one non-silly suit in Year 4.
(Again, Solstice Suit for the solstice, please. The suit has been in the game data since release)

While I’m passing by, I want to say that IOI has released its annual report mid-September.

  • Better profit than anticipated (yay for them)
  • They highlight a good monthly players base being maintained
  • The Celebrity Partnership Program is a full-on success.

The projections for next year are: even better profits, and a new “game mode”.
Game mode is itself downplayed, under quotation marks in the document. So I think it’s less a new game mode, and more the PSVR2 game mode. As for better profit, as much I think we will see Year 5, it could just be the announced publishing partership for MindsEye.

My current hope :

  • Season of Splitter (Nov24-Jan25),
  • Year 5 (Mar25-Jan26),
  • and 10 Year of WoA Anniversary in 11Mar26. Maybe as a final update.

So you think it will though with The Entertainer ET running until 18th November? I hope you’re right though

We better get the Xmas decorations for the Winter roadmap as well :joy:

Neat! IOI is a privately traded company, yeah?

Are these public releases some sort of EU law? I know they’ve done this before, I just never really bothered to look into it. I’m not savvy enough on all the important financial data these focus on.

Internet chuds better not look at page 10 (DEI) of the document or they might have a heart attack :smiling_imp:

Neat though!

They also note that the “Part 1” version of WOA, has been “successful” both in bringing on new Hitman players and also continuing with an upgrade to the full WOA package
(Cool, but also damn, wow, this convoluted spider-web of purchases is paying off?!)

Yes, IOI is a private company but;

All Danish registered companies have to file among other documents an audited and approved annual report to the Danish Business Authorities.

The DBA is Denmark’s company registrar (like Companies House in the UK). CVR (Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister or The Central Business Register) is how you access information about companies registered with the DBA.

This is my understanding, so it may be wrong in some areas (I’m not Danish).

Two more Elusive Targets, then we’ll be setting sights onto the Winter roadmap!! :snowflake::wink::christmas_tree:

To be fair, I feel as though the Fall/Autumn roadmap has gone really quick!

Yeah, this season generated some decent buzz at the beginning, but it quickly Dropped off. (Sns)

Not speculation for the next roadmap, but I’m starting to think we will, one day, see:

  • Elusive Target Season 1 Pack (contains Hitman 2016 ETs, season 1 briefcase, maybe the Black Winter Suit or a new suit)- 4.99
  • Elusive Target Season 2 Pack (contains Hitman 2 ETs, season 2 briefcase, The Solstice Suit) - 4.99
  • Elusive Target Season 3 Pack (contains Hitman 3 ETs, season 3 briefcase, a new suit to be made) - 4.99

I know that the reason ETs have not been made permanent is because the are the main backbone of the live service, and guarantee of a healthy monthly recurring player base.
But if they are ever going to be permanently released before the sunset, no reason to not sell them.

It would also explain why the Solstice Suit, and both of the season 2 and 3 briefcase have been seemingly forgotten about.

Hey that’s not fair - H2016 has 26 ETs, while 2 has 8 and 3 has 10. :joy:

Tbh many H2016 targets are of much lesser quality, just adds a target with a couple bodyguards and that’s it. While some H2 and H3 ETs change the environment drastically.

I think it’s likely that we could see something like that, but I really doubt it would be just $5 for each pack. Probably more like $10

Speaking of suits, I doubt we’d ever see this but it would be cool to unlock a suit with unique access or permissions. For example, it would be cool if the unreleased butcher suit granted access to any kitchen in any map, just as the local chef/kitchen staff disguise would. Or if the unreleased surgical procedure suit unlock granted access to all medical areas in any map, for another example. Or a version of the Solstice Suit which grants access into all security rooms, and so on.

I’d argue that they wouldn’t be too overpowered since getting a kitchen or bodyguard disguise in any map is already pretty simple and most of us have our favored methods for acquiring them anyway. It would just be a nice way to skip a step and shake up the dynamic for those of us who have already played the game for many years.

I hope IOI don’t make the Black Winter Suit available for direct purchase. It’s one of the rarest and most unique suits in the game as it’s hidden behind the ET unlock in HITMAN 2016 and it makes it stand out for the old school players.

I guess suit unlocks on Twitch aren’t available for direct purchase, so I think the same should apply to the Black Winter Suit.

Just my opinion of course :slightly_smiling_face:

On a separate issue, but related to future roadmaps, I’d love to see a Freelancer 2 Year Anniversary roadmap of some sorts. Unlikely to happen because it would clash with the Winter (2024) roadmap, but it would be cool either way

Something they could do is to double the price of the S1 pack (9.99 instead of 4.99).

Moreover, given the fact that the Fixer was never reactivated since the launch of H3, I doubt that this one will be part of such pack.
Another thing is the Deceivers: should be kept as it is, or split like in H2016?

Both. Have the individual ones in the pack for H1 ETs, then the Deceivers combined ET in the H2 pack.

I’m in the doubter camp of this ever happening.

The Arcade was their compromise to the “ETs will never be permanent” statement. Also, casual players who already feel slighted when the game or DLC isn’t on sale when they want to buy it would have a field day complaining about having to buy content that was previously free (they already moan about the CelebrET DLCs).
