Yes or No...? 2

My beloved bland baby, protagonist of the first game

I think he’s okay. I’ve only played Watch Dogs once through, so I don’t have too deep an appreciation or knowledge of his character. But he was a vigilante-type that had some depth to him.

im not a massive fan of him but i am looking forward to seeing if they do something interesting with him in legion. probably not though

I don’t know, I feel like the Aiden/Wrench dynamic could improve what would be a fairly basic action-thriller tale.

nice clothes, shame about the hypocrisy :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I can´t vote on CoD until I know if United Offensive is included in CoD1 or missing

Welcome to another episode of weird item polls. This time, we have fiber wire items:

Which is your favourite fiber wire/garrote item?

  • Fiber Wire
  • Classic Fiber Wire
  • Measuring Tape
  • IO Elite S2VP Earphones
  • Quickdraw
  • Fishing Line

The Aztec Necklace and Stethoscope are also fiber wire items, but they aren’t unlockables. So I’m including them on a separate poll:

Favourite non-unlockable fiber wire/garrote item?

  • Aztec Necklace
  • Stethoscope

Also, curious…

Best Splinter Cell?
  • Splinter Cell
  • Pandora Tomorrow
  • Chaos Theory
  • Double Agent (V1 - PC/PS3/Xbox360)
  • Double Agent (V2 - PS2/Xbox)
  • Conviction
  • Blacklist
  • Essentials

I chose stethoscope only because it’s available on more than one location.
If not that, necklace is much prettier

Chaos Theory all the way, baby! It’s sort of the Blood Money of the Splinter Cell series. Pandora Tomorrow along with the first one comes second and Blacklist third.

Same for me with CT all aspects considered, but I´d feel bad if I didn´t mention I love and adore the first SC pretty much equally. PT and Blacklist would probably be contenders for 2nd and 3rd place, though I have yet to play DA V2…

I’ve been hesitant to try Double Agent for many years mostly because at launch it was a buggy mess and even after patches it still had compatibility issues. Maybe one day I’ll give it a go
Also, isn’t it weird how a game with the same name be different depending on the platform? You don’t hear about this nowadays.

Surprisingly I never had any issues with it… Though a while back I was checking its PCGW page and found out I might have played it with inferior visuals without even knowing about it… I´ll have to give it a go sometime soon with the appropriate fixes.

It´s not all that bad. Struggles in the early missions but has some great moments like the Shanghai level or the JBA HQ infiltration missions (and I love the soundtrack). The main issues are the wonky AI and the lack of a proper visibility/audio HUD, which makes it difficult to have an idea of how well hidden you are or not, especially during the daytime missions.

Oh, and the story and dialogues are pretty subpar, especially compared to CT…

It is. And I´m glad it doesn´t happen nowadays. I´m still pissed at Ubisoft for never porting V2 to PC :joy:

Well, since @Bourbon has already done the Vigilante a justice, I’d like to talk about this one. In case if you don’t know, NFS franchise is 27 years old already, you probably can tell its fans’ ages by just asking them which one is the best. I belong to the group which played Underground at first, and will say neon underglow, nitrous, and Japanese imports are cool things.

But then there’s the classic pre-underground era, which includes many beautiful and unmodified 90s supercars too. I’d recommend you to watch LGR’s recent retrospect video about NFS II here, you can tell its major difference from the later iterations.

Also, seeing how Hot Pursuit (I’d assume you meant the 2010 one, not the previous 2) and MW2012 are pretty popular in your poll, I dare say that Criterion also successfully created its own group of NFS fans after they no longer developed Burnout series. Car crash and damage effects are really their specialties. Both games still looks very good to these days. We will have to see what they can do to the upcoming game. It will be a topic created when it’s announced though, so stay tuned.

Lastly, I’d like to mention The Run. You may think of it as the Absolution of NFS. Both features a linear storyline, linear levels. They both strangely took place at 2011/2012 and during some points, at Chicago as well. Well, that doesn’t sound good, right? No, it literally shut down its developer Black Box, those who made UG and MW05, for good.

However, its sceneries and lighting effects from Frostbite 2 are great! It features plenty of point to point levels across USA before The Crew was a thing. It also remains as the last NFS which doesn’t feature brake-to-drift handling too. In the end, despite the game didn’t offer too much, it will always hold a special place in my mind.
