Did you hear that Denuvo was officially/finally cracked? Their response has been to require mandatory 14 day online check-ins…
I’ll be honest folks I have considered this, and it makes me feel like a hypocrite!
But also like who’s judging me?
If you’re asking seriously, and looking for volunteers, I can if you want. ![]()
Thank god that ‘Stop Destroying Videogames’ a European Citizens’ Initiative has been presented to the European Parliament earlier this month. The European Commission director and copyright lawyer have pledge to look into copyright regulations that aren’t adequately covering the video game industry. A report regarding the findings will be made in July. This is a good news for videogames in the EU.
The US got a similar case going.
Listening to a recording of Sunday show, and presenters discussing about names, that most of people don’t like their names.
What goes with you? Do you like your name?
- Yes
- No
- Would’ve changed / Already changed it
Tbh not really sure I hate my current name definitely but I’m not really sure if I actually love “Alice” it’s kinda just the only one I’ve been suggested that’s really stuck out for me to use whenever I do get to transition
I don’t dislike my name, it’s just annoying because I have spent the great majority of my life having to sound it out for people multiple times, and they still somehow manage to get it wrong. And it’s really not that unique or difficult a name. So i just live with the mispronunciations.
Only the shorter version, frankly. When people call me by the full version I tend to get rankled.
I don’t hate my name per say but its so common and generic I even run into a lot of customers with both the same first and last names, I get tired of hearing it and it’s always awkward to call someone else by my name, but at the same time I’m named after my father and he’s always been a honest and kind man so no I wouldn’t change it at all
- Obi-Wan Kenobi
- Yoda
- Qui-Gon Jinn
- Mace Windu
- Luke Skywalker
Little tester for the Star Wars fans. For me, it’s Qui-Gon Jinn. He was the only one who both lived by the Jedi Way, and also didn’t get involved in the political side of the Order, which was why he would sometimes defy the Council. Everything wise about Obi-Wan came from him, while not giving off an air of importance that Yoda and Mace did, I’ve always seen Qui-Gon as the example of what a Jedi is supposed to be. Luke was too inexperienced and had too little guidance to qualify. I haven’t seen any of the spinoffs, so any other Jedi worthy of note are unknown to me, and so are not included. And if you’re wondering why either Anakin or Rey aren’t here… are you kidding me?
Qui-Gon died in duel of the fates, it wasn’t just a battle about his own fate. But Anakin’s fate, I would go out on a limb and say Anakin falling to the dark side and brining the end of the Jedi Order would be very unlikely if Qui-Gon survived and trained Anakin.
I think your argument is flawed in that you confused what the philosophy, beliefs, and practices of the Jedi were supposed to be with what they actually were. Qui-Gon absolutely embodied what the Jedi were supposed to be, but Obi-wan better exemplified what they actually were. That is the main reason why, as Norseman pointed out, the Duel of the Fates was such a turning point and ultimately resulted in the “birth” of Darth Vader and the Empire.
Much thought I put into my vote I not have
That’s my point. The Jedi we see, even the great ones like Yoda and Obi-Wan, weren’t really measuring up to their own standards on several things (in Yoda’s defense, he at least seemed to be aware of this). But Qui-Gon was the best shown example of a Jedi practicing what they preached, making him the truest Jedi we ever meet, in my view.
You realize what this means? Screw Anakin: I’m the one who brought balance to the Force!
Yo, Jedi Master White!
