Yes, whenever someone mentions the 80’s, I immediately think of the traumatising assassination of the parents of a video game character named Diana Burnwood which was caused by her future colleague Agent 47 using a car bomb on said character’s parents.

If none of you remember/weren’t there for the McDonald’s thing: For the 1984 Olympics McDonald’s ran a promotion where they would give away a free item if America placed in an even depending on a ticket you were given.
Gold was a free burger, silver was large fries and bronze was a small soda (If I remember the article). The problem? America was really good with only the Soviet keeping them in check (36 golds in 76 compared to almost 80 in 1984) and the USSR boycotted the Olympics due to the US doing the same thing in 1980 (The US protested this little thing called The Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan). So as you can see from that bracket the US dominated the Olympics and McDonald’s had to give away thousands of burgers.
