it’s true though

All taking place during night time while raining / snowing… that is not what I’d call variety :stuck_out_tongue:

I like it but again, I think you can have a darker tone in videogames even without the perpetual night / raining cliche

Gimme something that has colors, like this

and not this

I do really wish they would have left the rain out of some of the levels, and just maybe the time of day too.

And then of course…

actual horror my beloved :weary:

Its not raining in Hunter & Hunted. I think its still better than have 3 Games with exactly 1 rainy Mission…

Trying to prove @EvilGeniusRo how good the levels in Contracts are is pointless because in case you weren’t aware,he thinks that Contracts is the worst hitman game in the franchise(yes, even worse than Absolution :grimacing:).
So,the next time you see him complain about Contracts, just ignore him. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The perpetual night raining cycle was cool bc of how it fit the story. Each mission was a dream from his memory and, apparently, 47s dreams are fairly dark and rainy.

As much as I’d love a “Contracts 2” it doesn’t have to all be dark and rainy nor does it all have to be flash back dreams caused by 47 going in and out of consciousness. It could be 47 awake and remembering past missions more accurately so that it’s not always raining.

Tbh I think missions like Asylum Aftermath, MKP and Beldingford Manor would’ve been weaker without rain. It adds to the grim dark tone of the levels. No rain is okay but it’s more ehh… meh.

Try if you must but know this. When there’s a discussion about Contracts, I’ll be there. Waiting. Watching…

Those levels and such, sure. As for some of the others though, not so much (in my opinion).

I’d still want rain in most of the levels but I feel like it could’ve been excluded from one or two for the better (other than H&H).

it’s very cool, but it is a bit over wrought, innit? i love it for what it is and it’s one of my favourites, but i think i prefer what they went for in blood money. it’s more sly.

T-00 were mass produced with numerous ones in Raccoon City. They were used as a cleanup teams of sorts by Umbrella so unless they are together in numbers they would instantly lose since they are proven to not have any regenerative effects.

Nemesis- T-Type is stubborn given it constantly mutates to stay alive this should be evident with its phases where it gradually gets more dangerous with a literal rail-gun needed to take it it. It definitely would beable to win the fight especially since it was created to always adapt and come back.

Jack Baker is the only true stalker type enemy to have regenerative traits due to the mold this was emphasized numerous times throughout the duration of RE7 and its DLC End Of Zoe. Jack like Nemesis as the proven ability to mutate and change at a given scenario. Given how the only proven way to eliminate Jack Baker is through a literal power glove he isn’t immortal, and has a proven mortality so with a enough blunt force he could easily be taken out.

Alcina Dimitrescu while is the largest in size when not mutated she only has her regenerative traits when she has the blood of humans. This is learned at the end of Village. While yes, her mutation was forced through the MacGuffin that is the Dagger Of Deaths Flowers removing her out of the state of invulnerability. She under unique circumstances wouldn’t last regardless of her state.

If all Stalker enemies went up against each other while Lady Dimitrescu would last for a good bit of time if she doesn’t get human blood she wouldn’t last. Assuming this fight is in a contained environment of course with no human casualties.

I’d say this is who would win.

1st. Nemesis (will eventually mutate and adapt ultimately becoming stronger while he would be proven weak at first he would be a active threat later)

2nd. Alcina Dimitrescu (unless she manages to get blood over time she will not beable to sustain herself, she would easily beable to dispatch T-00 and Jack Baker probably)

3rd. Jack Baker ( Despite Jack being able to regenerate and mutate he has a proven mortality and through enough blunt trauma will ultimately succumb to his injuries eventually especially if punched and tossed around by Lady D and Nemesis)

4th. T-00 (honestly these are the weakest of the stalker type while they can mutate they are really only effective in numbers especially up against another mutated bio weapon. William Birkin can easily dispatch one and this has been proven numerous times within things such as the CGI films which are canon.)

I know this post is long and unnecessary but I like Resident Evil a lot and want to give my opinion by bringing up lore and not just a biased

Wow, that’s a pretty sound theory. I also thought Nemesis would win, while Jack Baker is the best stalker out of the bunch IMO. :slightly_smiling_face:

But looks like Lady D wins by popular demand. :ok_hand:

That’s what makes Contracts Contracts though, tbf.

The individual themes on each separate map aren’t as varied as Blood Money or WOA, of course, but that is what makes Contracts stand out, even from SA and C47.

Thats because most people prefer new shit over old shit, for whatever reason.

If we pitted all the viruses against each other both Canon and Non- Canon the Cameron virus would easily be the most dangerous.

But if we only did canon it would definitely be Progenitor Virus.

It’s why I try not to theorize about series I’m passionate about based on a biased of sorts. Often or not when something is new, becomes a phenomenon, and is well received it brings a certain level of favorability to them. Trust me I like Tall, Voluptuous, and dangerous vampire lady as much as the next person. But let’s be real here when we put the facts on the table Nemesis easily wins.

Especially when the new shit looks like this. :smirk:

Hard to be mad at that, I’ll admit.

I like her too even though I prefer her Daughters, but she’s not scary.
Nemesis was scary, before they scripted him way too much. Mr X is scary in REmake 2.

If you include a Stalker Character into your Game, make him/her scary.

Yeah, I heard because some reviews for RE7 said the game was too scary, Capcom decided to tone down the terror.

I mean come on - it’s supposed to be a fucking RE game!

Hm, reminds me of when a million of idiots praised the shit out of RE4, and as a result we got RE5 and RE6.

i dunno. it’s been a while, but i recall contracts being defined - for me - by how unsettling it was.

best example i can think of is malcolm (?) sturrock’s room. i found it unsettling before - and in spite of - the ‘reward’ of finding the body, if that makes sense? showing the body didn’t add anything for me, it took it too far, tipping the scene into the over wrought as opposed to uh, well, wrought.

that’s just me though.

recency bias, i guess.
