Thoroughly enjoyed Hitman [2016], liked Hitman 2 [2018]; played the free maps in their rotation for Hitman 3 in 2021 on EGS. Bought the entire Hitman 3 (deluxe, etc.) on Steam in 2022 and have enjoyed it.
Began Freelancer in 2024, and have likes and dislikes about it, but have managed to reach Prestige levels. Spent an inordinate amount of time breaking necks or using a found melee item because I was afraid to lose items for failure.
Didn’t fail for >1 year: Mumbai fl 4 studio… contextual interaction prompt caused me to open the door to the public area (the large space) rather than the wardrobe door next to it.
~30% of the time in regular Hitman 3, I somehow hit close targets in a way that they detect me (i.e., “the punch glitch”) and starting the chain reaction of neighbouring characters hearing the incident…
I spend a lot of time waiting because I want to be precisely behind a target for any “melee” (including fiber wire, which doesn’t count as melee in contracts and challenges), but also spend a lot of time exploring areas, not for kill opportunities, but for ambient conversations and environmental “bits” (can’t call them "story-telling in most cases).
Enjoyed Blood Money (I have replayed it a few years ago), and the earlier Hitman games although the earlier games are not something I replayed recently due to game technology advancements; however, the randomness of the ragdoll effects impressed me greatly at the time.
Was frustrated by UI / detection feedback in Hitman Absolution; although it seems similar to the WoA series, for reasons I don’t understand, I would be very easily detected and end up most missions taking an inordinate amount of time to do things quietly (e.g., subdue a lot of people, wait a long time at various points, take a very circuitous route).
