well, i’m of a different opinion. some things they try to do are achieved equally great by midori or otoboke beaver, for example. and of all the japanese sort-of-punk bands with female vocals i’d say my favourite album is burning farm by shonen knife
Fun Fact - I uploaded a bass cover of Melt Banana song to Youtube about a decade ago. For a long time it was the only one. When I worked for Melt Banana last year I showed them the video and they’d already seen it. Pretty fuckin rad. Agata asked for a photo with me haha. I felt validated
no, YOU’RE the jealous one!
CBC Radio has a program called Vinyl Tap, where host Randy Bachman plays a bunch of songs as part of a theme. Today’s theme was ‘Songs that make you laugh’.
And one of the songs in his playlist was the entirety of this legendary meme:

Time to post something from the real Fleetwood Mac after video of later Fleetwood Mac and now a song with Stevie Nicks was posted.
The real Fleetwood Mac was Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, started way back in 1967 as a top notch blues band:

Probably one of the greatest TV intros ever made. Barry Gray did music for alot of the Gerry Anderson TV shows, and is definetly an underrated composer. Still, at least he’ll always be remembered for the Thunderbirds march.
All these people comparing Dartmoor to Knives Out don’t have a Clue do they?

Who else is going to love someone like you that’s marked for death?
Who else is going to be with you when you breathe your last?
Who else is going to take my place and hold and keep you safe?
Who else is going to stay?
i wish i could stand their lyrics
Is it that bad!? I don’t have any problems with their lyrics, but I’m not a native english speaker so it’s not easy to hear or understand everything they are singing, but that goes for every rock/blues type music I’m listening to, some CD’s comes with printed lyrics, but not all, I do like their music and as you might know, not all lyrics are their own either, i.e “When The Levee Breaks” is a old blues song and that’s not a bad lyric in my opinion.
me neither. but all these “baby baby babe” are noticeable even if you aren’t. occasionally, there are straight up terrible ones like “i wanna give you every inch of my love”
in general, i’m just not a huge fan of the genre. i do appreciate the musicianship that goes into many of their songs but can’t help but feel i’ve heard it already elsewhere (and for me it is the case more often than not). so, the only song of theirs i play even remotely regularly is stairway to heaven. some others i like suffer from bad production and sometimes weird structures where they play the least intersing section (from my point of view, obviously) the longest like kashmir with its phaser or something on the drums and that third part being dragged out
