Chromeo is still one of my favs!

And this time, it was Bill Wurtz IN 3D!!

Rival Schools were a life changing band for me. This album came out as I was falling out of a big Nu Metal phase and it got me interested in emo and post hardcore. Walter Schreifels is one of my musical heroes. He’s been in so many influential bands - Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools… Most musicians could only dream of being in one genre defining band, let alone four! He’s one of the unsung heroes of punk rock for sure. A really nice guy too, i met him several times and he acted like we were old friends.

Solid band! I never listened to them half as much as I should have though. Time to rectify that.

yeah boi. i got to see them a couple of years ago and they’ve still got it.

keep an ear out on the song structures; they have a really clever way of superimposing riffs from earlier in a song in new and weird contexts. it’s super cool.

also: quicksand and rival schools are the nuts.

I don’t know where I heard this, but it’s way too catchy.
