If it’s got gloves, I’m going to fucking pitch a bitch.

How do I subscribe to promotional messages? Do I just check the box for notifications?

No email for me yet. But not too worried - I’m still very much on the fence about buying into this so might not even be an issue for me.

Did you enter your email and password again on the First Light website like you were signing up again for an IO Account?

No, I didn’t re-sign in to anything. I, like all of you, have an IOI account already and got this notice. It may be because I’m “signed up for promotional messages” that the rewards got auto-added. You might need both parameters.

How do you do so?

I just got the email without doing anything. Must just be going out in batches.

You gotta admire the cross-promotional hustle.

IOI, once the student, has become the master.

She’s actually from an old aristocratic family and her full name is Isola of Sgail.

Weird how they misspelled ‘Moneypenny’, unless this is a brand new character with a very similar name!

It was a little frustrating to me that no one asked the burning question at the Q&A: sandboxes vs linear.

But Elverdam’s comments about the faster pace of the game got me thinking that they’re leaning more into linear gameplay.

That would be a shame. I get that there needs to be big action setpieces, car chases, etc. for it to be a good Bond game. But it is specifically IO’s brilliant open sandbox design that would elevate a game like this way beyond previous Bond titles and standard, generic 3rd person shooters. Fingers crossed that it will still be a good mix between the open and the linear.

New interview just dropped. Teases some promising details, but nothing groundbreaking.

2 more interviews on streams:

They were both happening at the same time which was annoying.
No new details on anything though.

But the gem amongst them was:

Hakan + Sword: :pink_heart:

Sword, or helicopter rotor blade?

This is what the keys to a golden helicopter look like. You peasants with regular helicopters wouldn’t know…

The dev video from Copenhagen is really hyping me up. It’s great to hear the developers talking about it with such sincere confidence. That alone makes me believe that they’ve got something good here.

New details I gathered here is that the gameplay will be more fast and impulsive than Hitman but still with a lot of freedom of approach. Big, lavish social-stealth openings to the levels. That is good news!

My wish is just that it’s still more WOA than Absolution because freedom of approach doesn’t necessarily mean big sandboxes… there could be a lot of freedom of approach in a more linear level design as well.

I just hope there will be big sandboxes even if they’re more streamlined and accessible.

I also like the theme of the confident, naive youth coming to terms with a harsh reality and overcoming it. An everlasting theme of storytelling, but equally meaningful.

Another question is, how many levels? I am hoping for at least 10-12 big levels, with smaller segments/car chases etc. in between.

Bc if they go the WOA route with only 6 maps at launch, it’ll be a tougher sell for them. It just doesn’t sound like much even if us Hitman fans know it certainly can be.
