During today’s Xbox Showcase, fans got their first glimpse at Selina Tan, an all-new character for 007 First Light. British actress Gemma Chan will portray Selina, joining the project as both the voice and physical likeness of the character, a very first for the actress in gaming.
Selina Tan is a senior MI6 figure who oversees the agency’s Tactical Simulations division, a program designed to test and refine the skills of Britain’s most promising recruits. Once a rising star in academia with a background in psychology and strategy, she later made her mark in the private sector, leading advanced research in immersive technologies, before joining MI6 to spearhead the Tactical Simulation Division. Leveraging both scientific rigor and strategic vision, she is a unique asset amongst British Intelligence.

I kinda hope the “tactical simulation” she talks of is the in-universe justification for replaybility, modifiers, and maybe even contract mode/escalation or their First Light equivalent.

Idk why, but when I looked at her name, I thought of Alma from MH: Wilds. I then relaized that there is indeed character named Gemma, but its that blonde-haired girl.

I would love it if 007 had an offline mode as stock for the game.
Yes and there are gyms. Bond can run around and battle the other 00s to be the very best like nobody ever was because all of those files have been redacted.
I hope it means she is actually a member of The Gentry and that James Bond will have to fight a clone of himself who is actually the Prime Minister of the UK on the roof of the Exchequer. He will have a two hour long rant about the BBC, internet security laws and digital passports before dying. Leaving Bond behind to decipher The Gentry’s true organisational structure
Twenty years from now this Bond game will be vindicated because every single one of its (at the time) outlandish themes would have manifested as truisms in a more fractured, post-truth world.

Remember the time you couldn’t play Hitman 3 for a week because the servers were not working after the game released?
That was done so you, the player, could have the best experience.

I remember there being a weird ‘queue’ that went on forever on Steam launch (Free Starter Pack at least) but that’s it

Oh man, with every wannabe shitty AAA developer practice they implement, IOI drive me further and further from an order for this. I’ve rolled over for a lot of this crap for Hitman, but I have my limits.

Isn’t that the edition with the Golden Gun, which was announced when the gameplay was released? It’s just a better picture of the suit or am I missing something?

Yeah, I’m not pre-ordering this, and I’m not going out of my way to get all the skins and cosmetics.
I do it for Hitman, which I adore, and that’s quite enough. If this game comes out and I love it, I’ll consider spending additional money for add-ons, but I’m not going to beat myself up over missed preorder bonuses.
