you’re right. I think in terms of bond intros. James Bond JR for the NES really is better than anything else we got.
This statement is such a joke real ones know James Bond Math for the NES had the better intro
less than a month away, oh boy.
I’m looking forward to this game too but honestly right now I have my expectations for this game set to it being a one and done campaign game.
If they really are planning to add post launch content then they haven’t exactly done a good job of selling us a hook is to keep us playing. When Hitman 2016 released we were at least told the plan (even though they couldn’t really stick to some of those promises). Here it’s just a linear narrative game and a challenge mode. Which by itself is fine, but then why bother teasing new content at all if that’s all they have? I don’t really want to log into a game each month to do a short escalation challenge.
I hope that is the case, I’m in general tried of singleplayer games that insist to live on far beyond it’s campaign in forms of wacky modes and online play. I miss the days when games came with the main content (story) and then a multiplayer PVP mode like Max Payne 3, Last of us, Kane & Lynch 2 and so on.
If I want endless content that going to keep me engage, then I’ll multiplayer like BF6. Something that will keep me engage until BF7 or when my kid is old enough, so I can get back in R6 Siege competitive play.
I don’t get the appeal of Freelancer, Ghost Mode, Escalations. Elusive Targets are fun though. I miss singleplayer games that just does that well. I’m tired of prolonged singleplayer experiences, with roadmaps and recycled content. I get why, it profitable. Hell this iteration of Hitman has been releasing and re-releasing live content for 10+ years now. It just isn’t for me and it’s kinda turn off.
I hope that 007: Frist Light is a great singleplayer game, that will keep me coming back to the campaign multiple times.
Old man rant over.
As a fellow old man I get where you are coming from. My post was an observation to that comment in the trailer but I’m also down for a story focused game if that’s what it ends up being.
Fresh, unpredictable single-player mode for when you’re bored. Beyond that, I agree with you on the rest.
If First Light adds new content, it shouldn’t be anything beyond a few standalone missions like the bonus missions of Hitman, or even those two bonus missions at the end of GoldenEye 007. All the extra modes and such that Hitman has, that’s fine for a game where you are basically just doing a seek-and-destroy on a single or small handful of targets. A Bond game has to be bigger than that, more to do, and a Contracts or Freelancer or Elusive Target mode for such a game just doesn’t line up right.
And that’s the thing I don’t get, if I’m bored and booting up Hitman, I’ll play the campaign. If I’m bored of the campaign I’ll exit the game and do something else. There is no scenario where I would play freelancer.
I played a few hours out of curiosity, when it launched. I soon caught on and saw the endless loop of grinding. I had my share of that throughout multiple WoW expansions and I didn’t mind due to it having a purpose in a mmo and that was before having kids.
That would be more than enough to satisfy me and I would happily pay for it.
What if you finish the campaign and you’re still not satisfied yet, but don’t want to just repeat the campaign and all the bonus missions? Enter: Freelancer.
Enter Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. But to be quite frank if I reply H16 trilogy for 100th time I’m more than satiated. I rarely get to the bonus missions anyway.
Light weight.

How so?
Again, how so?
Damn it all, why is it wrong? Or are you just messing? I don’t see anything to indicate that it’s been delayed again or moved up.
