Amazing! a triumph for IO and the franchise
And now its already over 3 million. https://www.ign.com/articles/007-first-light-dev-io-interactive-says-its-now-sold-3-million-copies-tracking-well-above-our-forecasts-at-this-point
Oh my. Amazon will REALLY want a bigger piece of the cake now. Glad the game is doing great, the chances for a sequel are definitely high now.

“First of all, let me set the record straight for you,” said [Amazon’s Head of Gaming Jeff Gattis]. “I did not confirm that Amazon Game Studios is publishing the next one. Did not say that. So unfortunately, it got picked up, and once it runs, it runs. No, IO’s been great. They’ve been great partners. In fact, I was over there visiting them in Copenhagen a couple of months ago. The game’s doing great. Let’s let the game breathe and have its day.”
“Trust that we’re going to be smart about this,” Gattis reassured players. “I mean, it’s market appetite. As long as we feel there’s a desire for players to have the game, it’s safe to say it’s going to be made.”
“Seems like a sequel should be made.”
Oh he’s fully backtracking for sure by saying he didn’t say they would publish it. ![]()
And note the repeated use of the word “great.” Definitely sounds like a guy with nothing to hide.
Perhaps it was deliberate. I just saw this video on rage bait marketing. Do/say something stupid just to undo it and sell more of whatever you already had. No such thing as bad publicity etc.
Amazon puts a quote out about how IO is already out, then the IO fans get excited and mad, Amazon retracts the comments, IO fans go buy the game. (I’m probably making too big a leap here bc I just happened to see that video, but maybe)
I feel like this gives the guy too much credit. Most likely explanation: he’s just another middle-aged exec who has reached high places despite being a dumbass, and he spoke out of turn.
Yeah, that’s most likely the case. Although I would also blame the news outlets for their misleading headlines.
Cause Amazon Gaming has made so many smart decisions in the past? ![]()
Did you get your Pre-Order code yet? We are currently tracking which retailers haven’t followed up with Deluxe Upgrade codes.
Not sure how to migrate posts (or if I have that power) but I created a Bug thread:

A new update was released and then rolled back due to an infinite loading screen bug, but all these fixes should be included when it releases again.
Hey @IOI_Artjoms, sorry for pinging you like this but I was wondering If you have any updates on the missing deluxe upgrade codes. It’s been 3 weeks already, but the only answer I’ve recieved is a generic response linking me to the known issues page, which doesn’t even include my issue.
IO have launched a new Twitch Drop for the game. Runs until July 19th.
Now the only “missing”/unaccounted for skin is the Diamond in the Rough suit. Its listed on SteamDB as a DLC - wonder if its to be bundled in with the Bawma DLC (assuming its a paid DLC and not a patched in for free thing)?
The Midnight Ray and Diamond in the Rough are both named as Burger King reward suits but given they gave away the first one for owning Hitman WoA, they might do the second one as a Twitch drop or bundled into something else as you said ![]()
